Bit early to say he's overrated yet Chels tbf, he's not had the service and enough time to prove himself yet. It might work out for him and it might not, but he was worth taking the risk on seeing as he was free imo and we have no money AGAIN.

I won't bitch too much because at least we're not a mess like Liverpool financially, but it is frustrating, god knows how Moyes must feel at times.

I know because the tradition of a club like Everton IMO can attract some decent players and the fact you're consistently pushing for the European places.. Kenwright has done a great job but maybe in the future he may let some people with lots of money to come in so the club gets the financial backing it needs

It's a big jump for Beckford, however as long as he keeps working hard, gets his confidence up and makes the most of opportunities he gets in the team then he could prove his worth

Yeah you can't fault BK for having the club's best interests at heart, he doesn't want someone with no love for the game coming in with wads of cash and no heart, who will sink us into debt BUT I do think something has to give at some point and he maybe needs to let go of the reigns a little. No manager is going to put up with the lack of funds and missing out on breaking the top 4 forever when all we're missing is a true class striker, but yet again we don't have enough funds. Imagine what Moyesy could do with a decent amount of money!! The guy must have the patience of a saint

Yeah I honestly believe he can come good, he's got a good footballing mind, problem is when he's played so far he's either been climbed all over (Newcastle game especially), or he just hasn't received the service and has had to run deep into midfield to even get a touch on the ball. You can tell he is itching to prove himself, I just hope he gets his chances and would love to see him and Yak play up front together, I think that's a partnership that could bring out the best in both

David Connoly is an example of a prolific goalscorer who never cut it in the top flight. Beckford may be another.

Yeah that's why he wants investment and not to sell the club, I think they'll have to wheel him out of Goodison in his coffin lol, he's not going anywhere.
