Their fake kissing was so funny. I wanted it to be real though and in the back of their minds I bet they did too.

Maybe Rodrigo saying he didn't want a friend that fancied him was a sign. He treats Charlie like an enemy anyway so starting a relationship with him might work in Rodrigo's view. lol.
