That's a bit of unfair comment considering they're fairly different. Alexandra is a lot more comfortably versatile, whilst Leona sticks to what she's good at, so it depends on how you're judging who's better.
Besides, considering Alexandra's yet to release her album, you're judging her on two singles.

Im judging them on their voices, IMO Alexandra is not as good as everyone makes her out to be

People who think she's like Leona are wrong.
For a starter,she has a lower register voice in the same vain as Toni Braxton or whitney Houston and can actually dance.
Leona has yet to release an as uptempo a song as Alexandra's "Bad Boys".
"Forgive me" was half as fast and all she did was prance down a street, walk in the rain, and sit on a chair while the people in the background danced.

And those who are making the comparisons with Rihanna are also wrong IMO.
Alexandra is a MUCH better singer, and again, can dance, unlike Rihanna.
Rihanna only really danced in two of her videos; "If it's Lovin' that you want" which was a way slower song then "Bad Boys" and so the dancing was less involved and in "SOS" where it was less choreographed dancing and more weak free styling which could've been done by anyone. In "Ponda Replay", she kinda just stood on a box and moved her stomach up and down and around. In "Umbrella", she walked around with an umbrella back and over pretty much, maybe swinging it around from time to time.
Also, "Bad Boys" doesn't sound like aything Rihanna has ever released.

If you really want to make comparsons, I would say that Alexandra is much more like Beyonce or Keri Hilson then Leona or Rihanna.

But if you really take notice (with Beyonce being the exception), the girls of Rn' B who can sing great can't usually dance, for instance Mariah, Whitney, Rihanna, Leona, Jennifer Hudson etc

And the girls that can't really sing are really great dancers i.e. Ciara, Christina Milian, Cassie, Amerie, Britney etc.

So Alexandra is a rearity in the music world at the mo in that she can sing and dance.
It's only her, Beyonce, Aguliera and Gaga who can do the two well.

Yeah, she's more like Beyonce but I honestly don't think her voice is anywhere near as good really. Just doesn't float my boat.

I've never understood the Leona/Alexandra comparison. They're 2 females with big voices and thats where it ends. Alexandra's is much more soulful and powerful but Leona's is a lot softer and she has a bigger range and can do more.

I'd say Alex is to Whitney what Leona is to Mariah, I think thats a fairer comparison

Not to keen on the song, good video though its nice to see something a bit better than seeing her walk about or something. But I like the route shes gone down, its better than her doing ballad after ballad

My fav of that year was Rachel Hylton. If I was a producer I'd want her to record every Nina Simone song I could get my hands on. She's a rough diamond, I'm telling you.

I remember when I was in Derry with a few of my friends it happened to be the day that Eoghan Quigg had his homecomming gig before the final of the x factor last year.
We just stood there at his concert and shouted "Rachael Hylton to WIN!!!" over and over again.
We nearly got stoned to death by all of his pre-teen obsessive fan cult.

Laura was excellent last year also. An so was that spanish lady.
Rachael got a raw deal I feel last year. Dannii completely ruined her.

I love her voice... it has this raw energy about it.... electrifying when she's given the right song. She was the best singer on the Hero single too, by a long long way.
