She can sing, simon does'nt enjoy listening to people shout, he is very good at his job and has worked in the music career for years, and if he says shes amazing she is, plus i thought she was really good, and shes a great "singer" she did'nt shout, she sung loudly with passion and emotion which made it beautifull and great

He hasn't worked in the music career, he's worked in the music business and in the music business the most saleable, manipulative voice is the foghorn because more people associate to it, it gives numpties at home aspirations becuase everyone can do a foghorn voice - so in the music business that Simon is a part of, it's all about selling records by manipulating people and this is how you manipulate people to buy records.

There are about 100 or so girls just like her and Simon and his producers pick only those that will look best on Camera so people will watch the show. They put the numpties with bad dress sense in for the jokes and anybody who had the nerve to dress well gets to go through as long as they can hold some notes in whatever key they have chosen to sing in.

Bottom line is, it's all about making a bunch of shows with good looking people on it so it's not a turn off to 10 million people.

Why aren't any ugly people on these shows? Can't they sing? Of course not - it's a TV Show publicising some random foghorn singer for 3 or 4 months in order to sell records so Simon can make money from the TV and the record industry.

Second season geezer from Manchester - More or less a Flop
Girl they stole from a record company called Leona and was set up to win the show - Massive hit
Leon Jackson - Unbelievable failure
Alexblandera - rubbish first single, probably going to die but looking at the publicity shots of her on the beach showing off her baps, Simon sees this as a way of making money so she could sell a few records.
