I look at BB as if i was there in the house living with those people. I would not like to associate with that type on the outside in my social sphere, so why the hell would i want that type to win?

I agree - I find that the most entertaining part of the show! Love to see their faces when they get kicked out - pure entertainment!

also she has been trying to distance herself from john from some time now, asking him testing questions here and there. now that's she used him well for her purpose she wants rid of him. Now she's asking him how come he doesn't have a problem with her but seems to have a problem with every other female.

You shouldn't look at it like that though. I wouldn't like to associate with half of the people I like on BB - but that's not the point.

I watch TV to be entertained - not bored to sleep. And quite frankly, whether people are willing to admit it or not - the big characters are entertaining, and people like Steve are not. It's not a matter of opinion, it is solid fact. Or else they wouldn't talk about these big characters so much.

And as for the last bit, congratulations on sending Big Brother to its deathbed.

Because moronic decisions like voting for Rachel/Cameron to win are partly to blame for the demise of the show, really.

Each to their own - but for me, watching the talentless wannabees expose themselves and show how desperate they are for fame and fortune - gives me the enthusiasm to want to boot their rear ends out of there - I love seeing the 'bad guys' get their comeuppance!

That for me, is the entertainment value of the show - and this year Josie with her fake showmance and innocent country girl act - which has, undeservedly, carried her through to the final - closely followed by that gob on a stick - are the ones I will most enjoy seeing get the boot from that house - along with all their undeserved dreams of fame and fortune - fabulous!

I think you have missed the point of the show as being a social experiment....i never have....and i'll always want to see the dregs and sh1tstirrers go before the good ones. And that IS the entertainment for me.

BB4 was the worsed of the 1st 4 shows without a doubt as everyone was mainly nicey nicey, but the show was on a downer anyway as the producers failed to make the show different. After that the attempt to spice it up with mouthy gobsh1tes only helped the demise and fan erosion as people got sick of the turds being washed up.
It's the eviction of the sh1tes that has kept me interested otherwise i would have switched off years ago if the mouthy ones were shown to succeed.

And i think saying it has gone downhill since Rachel Rice is being a tad innaccurate seeing as it has been struggling for far longer than that. And the main reason its being canned is that CH4 got a bloody nose after the Goody/Shetty race row. It was doomed from then.

No, it is not opinion. But continue to delude yourself, if you so wish.

Fact is - I can guarantee you and most other people would not watch if it were a house full of Steve's, Hira's and Rachel Rice's.

Because there wouldn't be anything to talk about, let's be honest. People just love to hate people, and that's why they tune in...to see these characters that they hate, and then vote them out...and then they complain it's dull. These people that make the show, love them or hate them, deserve to stay until the end. It's simple.

Whilst the basis of the show is still a social experiment, the days in which that is ALL it was are long gone.

That's hardly the case considering BB5 [the series where they started putting in the 'freaks' etc] is widely considered one of the best.

Of course it's been struggling since the Race Row, but the fact that dull people win has just made people think "well, what's the point?". And really, what is the point? None whatsoever.

In short - big characters make this show. Not dullards. If there weren't any big characters, it would've ended long, long, long ago.

BB7 - exactly the same. .

Yes it became the show for freaks as well, as many people turned to the off button. It was doomed from then on as the main stream just ridiculed it to the point it only gets publicity for controversy. Even the Suns coverage is minimal nowadays.
The fact is, BB was a good idea that couldnt maintain its popularity except for those that like to see the freaks. The many original viewers were turned off by the bores of BB4 or scared off by the freaks of BB5.
