Russell has been in quite a few big films, Get Him to the Greek, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Hop and he's in the upcoming musical Rock of Ages too. Plus he's also known for his relationship with Katy so I can see why he's well known now.

actually hosting the VMAs in 2008 and 2009 broke him in american
