I've just lost four members in my family today, along with some other traumatic events that have happened/are currently happening.

I don't believe it was the most sensible of things to do but I have spoken to him personally in the past and it almost seems like he lacks comprehension of social interactions and reactions properly so I wouldn't be surprised. However I can see your point of view clearly. But I don't see any harm in giving my sympathy and then letting the thread rest. Incase its true I think making all these jokes isn't that nice.
