How can you say you dont mean to offend and then say something offensive - it just doesnt make sense. Let me remind you that we all do this in between our real lives, work, kids etc... and we all do it for free.

I get really annoyed when people decide the forum is going to the dogs and then automatically blame the MODS and Admin. We are not the ones that choose to create arguments, that is members, we are not the ones that are offensive to each other that is members. So how come we get the blame for everything around here??

We do our best and I apologise if that does not meet your high standards of how a site should be moderated.

But James U2U'd me saying it was a mistake
I dont think Ive been rude to you on any occasions
Most people dont post on the BB7 forum anymore because the warning system is biased.
We all just get together on Msn now.

The warning system is not biased - it was put in place to try and combat some of the silliness that is taking place on the forum. Whenever we have to make changes like this people dont seem to like it but forget that it is changed because of members behaviour.

Changes had to be made to allow us to keep up to date and to hopefully stop 7 day bans by introducing a cool off period.

I got my first warning for being sarcastic...

Ella (who has now quit), got called a '******' minger' and 'slut' or something, and they didnt get one warning.

I feel a bit victimised by the mods on here, and its stupid.
I dont think you should recieve a warning for being sarcastic.
hardly breaking the law is it?

It's about how other people interpret it though Chrizzle - if someone takes offence we have to do something. The rules actually are very clear that we are hear to talk about HMs and not other FMs.

I can not stop you from feeling victimised but what I can say is that whichever Mods issued the warnings obviously felt they were warranted at the time otherwise they would not have been issued. Yes mistakes are made and we are happy enough to own up to them like James did.

The point I was trying to make is that Members cause huge problems on this site ( I am not saying you) and then when things get ugly noone blames them, who do they blame US the MODS. It's about remembering that sometimes people have to take responsibility for their own actions and not look to shift the blame onto someone else.

On more than one occasion you have been rude to me and others.

To be honest, I think it's out of order to criticise the mods, unless you have a specific incident where you feel you have been treated unfairly. It must be a tough job moderating any forum, and there have been some very petty squabbles on here this year. Some (and I stress some) of the members on here don't exactly make it easy. I used to post on here all the time last year, but haven't come on so much this year, because there seems to be a lot of name calling and nastiness.

I'm not going to get into a slanging match, but I am unable to remember any occasion when you have tried to talk to me. If you had tried to talk to me, I certainly would have responded.

Your very first post to me was rude - in fact, I believe your post was edited because of what you said, and since then you have been rude on other occasions.

I think the main problem here is lack of communication; I've noticed that on the BB7 forum - I remember James saying we should explain WHY we like a HM or whatever. But the thing is, we all do that yet some new members who have only just joined in the last week or so before the final ignore our comments and simply go on to argue with us for no apparent reason. Different people just handle that differently.

I think the mods have done a good thing with a new warning system - the 'cooling off' period can be nothing but a good idea!

But I also must stress that Chrizzle is in fact a really good member and on no occasion have I seen him be mean - he might just get a bit carried away arguing his point sometimes, but at least he has a valid reason backing up his argument!

Well I have tried before.

Were all allowed an opinion, and most of our opinions are we dont like the mods. Ive had many conversations about it on MSN. Its not just cos I recieved warnings, cos I think I deserved my second one. But I have recieved one for being sarcastic.

Which for the third time, should have expired by now!

Im not being rude, but why is everyone still going on about this? The Mods have done everything they can to stop this. Warning changes, bans and even locking the threads. Soon, when BB7 is over, hopefully it will all change and less people will be joining and more nice conersations can ne had on here. Im sorry, but the Mods have done everything possible to calm this situation and Im very grateful for them taking their time to try and stop this.

Well I have never seen any of those posts. If I haven't responded, it's because I missed them, but after being insulted on a number of occasions, I didn't bother to make overtures of friendliness. However, if I have missed any posts, then fair enough.

Okay, but I think the mods are doing a fine job under tough circumstances. That's my opinion. Fair enough?
