I've been feeling nostalgic recently and, after looking back through some old threads, I came across the old Gameshow Marathon and one of the events - Deal or no deal! I thought about possibly using the gameshow and having a little tournament on the forum!

The format will be completely the same as the normal TV show. For those who haven't watched it -

I will randomly allocate sums of money to the 22 hypothetical boxes, before then sending that list to a trustworthy forum member, eliminating any foul play.

I'm hoping that a good percentage of you would be interested in taking part... Each game will only take around 45 minutes and you only have to play once in each round. Any potential players can arrange a time and day that they would like to play their game.

When everyone that wants to play has done so, I'll take the top half of those people and they will progress onto the second round where the leaderboard will be wiped and the process will start again, carrying on like this until we are left with a winner. There will probably be 2/3 games a week and everything will happen in this thread as I'm sure people won't appreciate the forum being clogged up with separate threads for each game.

At the end of each round, everyone will be given a set number of points depending on where they rank. The bottom half of each round will leave the tournament, the top half will go on to the next round, keeping their points. This stops people simply dealing when they think they have enough to be in the top half, as the amount of points they get will effect how they fare later on in the tournament.

Your ranking place in the second round, because there are only half the people, will be doubled to get your points for that round, and so on...
