Yeah Tumblr sucks but Snapchat encourages minors to solicit indecent pictures of themselves, Facebook has kids viewing snuff videos that are shared on news feeds and Twitter has 12 year old girls devoting their lives to getting follows from famous people they will never meet. Teenagers can be stupid and the internet has its downsides, but to write off a century of legitimate social research carried out and theorised by professionals in their field as if it's all been created by some kids on a blogging website is just silly

...we just knew this would happen.. ...I've had this conversation with Jack before, quite a while ago and he gave me many links which were quite enlightening and extremely interesting...also 'real life' stories etc.. and they helped me to understand because I was also a bit confused by some things also...but the bit in bold though...not Tumblr specifically because I don't know the different social sites and the 'good ones and bad' ones but is it not a good thing though, that young people who may feel confused or 'different' in some way, which may make them feel quite isolated...that they do have sites where there may be other people who can relate to them and who they can relate to because those 14/15/16 yr old years can be so confusing for everyone and may be difficult to discuss with people in their 'real lives'.. ...anyway yeah, sexuality/always controversial... ...

I think you are male or female, whether you're in the wrong body or not... A girl might feel like she's been born in the wrong body, fair enough, she's male... but really, that list Marsh posted, all these stupid different words for it, I just think it's so pointless and lets be real, it is never going to go anywhere. It's just going to stay on the internet. And I don't think it's just tumblr that can help kids. I think it actually makes them a little delusional. Just my personal opinion though. I very much doubt it that in this day an age, a child (unless they live in places where gay people are legally allowed to be killed) doesn't ever get to hear that it's okay to be gay. It is literally everywhere. Google has never been easier to use and schools have to promote education about the lgbt world. Most people these days are okay with it. I mean yeah, you get the odd few crazy people who hate anything that isn't 'normal' but you get that with everything. I just think all these different 'genders' are seriously stupid. Yes, they may have been doing studies about it for over 10 years, but really that means nothing. People study the most ridiculous thing to prove things which are irrelevant.

..yeah, the Tumblr site thing, is something that I don't know about because other than finding gifs/pics on there I have no experience of it....but with the sexuality/gender etc...I think it's not 'ok' for everyone to be gay because that can also depend on their individual circumstances and prejudices that they may have to live with and that may make them feel that they wouldn't be accepted...it can be complicated..but also for anyone who feels as though they don't 'fit into the mainstream' type thing and how isolating that must feel...anyways, I have work so I'll just leave it at that except to say that I personally have learned a lot through my conversations with Jack and learning is always a good thing...au revoir/have a lovely day, Caitlin.. ...
