I don't think fans of the show or housemates would have cared if she made off with that Ł5,000 if she didn't make so much fuss about others taking anything from the prize fund for their own reasons. I think what she did with Jack's phonecall was far worse though.

I agree. It's not really about the money. I think most people would be tempted with 5,000. But the hypocracy is what most cannot stand.

Taking money away from the fund for things that you would get anyway with a bit of patience is not the same as not contributing to the prizefund for cold hard cash.

You are actually missing a lot but we wont go there. If she takes the 5k, the max the fund can reach is 145k. If she didn't get it, the max is 150k. Pretty simple maths actually.

Connor took the cash and it reduced the prize fund and this is the same thing.

Th e reason people are angry is less about the money and more about her attitude. She spent the last week bitching at everyone else about the money and condemning them if they ebven think about spending any of it, even in a jokey way. She has said its taking it away from the winner and its selfish. She has said they have changed, their true colours are coming out. She has made a huge deal of it, calling her so called bestie untrustworthy. Then she took the money. It's the hypocrisy people don't like.
