A lot of TD fans criticize the love triangle for "ruining" the season and that Duncan had no reason to return, despite the fact that his return was when the season actually had a drama aspect to it whereas beforehand it was just comedy + Alejandro. The love triangle got pretty much the whole cast involved and was a huge turning point in the season and i'm baffled about the amount of hate it gets

I just don't like how it was handled, but I can appreciate it for what it did. If Gwen and Courtney's friendship was believable and had more substance than a mutual hate for Heather, their breakdown would have been waay more dramatic and therefore more entertaining. A part of me is petty Courtney went over Duncan in China, though. Courtney's been hard done by each season and while she definitely shouldn't have won TDWT, she deserved to have outperformed her ****ty ex, even if there was one elimination between them.

This is just my preference because objectively TDA is better than TDI!! Most characters were nothing short of stereotypes in TDI but TDA developed pretty much everyone into their own character but I just HATE the setting and challenges of TDA (also I don't like how Gwen was eliminated... yeah it was in character for her to feel guilty but she didn't tell Trent to **** up challenges)
