I want to be Anthony Tibbington, emotionally scarred by the death of my father, and weighed down by the responsibility of looking after a large family. I won’t be part of the game I’ll just hang around looking broody for the female gaze.

The Curious Case of Tibbington Manor
It was the 7th May 1926 and Lady Katie Hudson has gathered all her friends and other famous socialites to her new place of residence, Tibbington Manor. Tibbington Manor is a glorious manor with lovely architecture and even better interior. But Tibbington Manor has quite a dark past. You see Tibbington Manor was where the Crowther family murders happened, where the mother and father were found hung in the billiards room and their 3 children, Emily, Lily and Andrew were missing presumed dead. Though it would be some years later when some maintenance workers took up a loose floorboard and found three children's Skelton's one next to the other. Tibbington Manor got a bad reputation and fell into a state of disrepair until recently Lady Katie Hudson wanted to make it her home. You are one of her guests tonight. Let's hope you have some fun and don't end up succumbing to the curious case of Tibbington Manor and meeting the same fate as the Crowther Family Gathered here tonight are Jessie Foster 39 years of age. Talented Jazz Singer. Married to a notorious gangster. Allen Foster. She feels very safe around him as she's built up a number of enemies over her years. She broke quite a lot of hearts in her younger days. Lady Katie is her best friend and they have shared many secrets. Lady Katie had told Jessie she was feeling nervous about hosting the ball. Especially because she has felt an unease in the past week that she was being watched by someone Allen Foster 54 years of age. Notorious Criminal and Gangster. The police know better than to confront him or his men. He is in regular communication with any criminals in the area. He has had word that one of his rival gang members has been watching Tibbington Manor for some time. Wanting to get his hands on some expensive jewellery that belongs to Lady Katie. Elmer Finley He has been writing to Lady Katie for some time about his adventures. He has fallen in love with her and wants to marry her. He planned on proposing to her at the ball. Before he started his aviation and adventurer tours he was a police officer Horace Daniels 60 years old Famous film director who had directed Lady Katie in many films. He has fallen in love with Lady Katie although she shows no interest in him. There are rumours to get his film directing started 30 years ago he had commited a crime and landed on some money he never deserved. A false story according to Horace Erma Green 25 years old. Talented Broadway Actress. Receiving rave reviews and lots of attention. Horace has set his sights on Erma for his next movie. Something that has greatly offended Lady Katie. Erma is convinced Lady Katie has only invited her tonight to humiliate her Clyde Henry 36. Clyde is a famous artist. Lady Katie wishes Clyde to paint a portrait of her for her to hang above the fireplace. Clyde has been painting since he was a young teenager and he seems to recognise Tibbington Manor but can't yet work out why Dr Lillian Sykes Lady Katie's niece. Lady Katie is very proud of her niece because of her amazing achievements in the world of science. She has invited her to the ball to show her off to her friends. But does Lillian have her own reasons to want to be there? Audrey Morgan 44. A talented dancer. Been dancing since her late teens. She has worked with both Erma Green and Jessie Foster. Outspoken and a drunkard she is often getting herself into trouble. But she didn't have the easiest of childhoods James Sanders 20.James is Lady Katie's butler. He is hard working and loyal but there isn't a thing that goes on in the house that he doesn't hear about Nellie Moss 30. Nellie is the head maid in Tibbington Manor. She has noticed some staff acting very suspiciously and is on high alert with the ball approaching Dame Teresa Warren 60 years old. Dame Teresa is very well known in the fashion industry and a good friend of Lady Katie's. She made most of the dresses the ladies have on tonight. She came from a very privileged background and came close to marrying a royal Prince when she was in her 20s Jonathan Blackwell Journalist for the local paper. Lady Katie wants everyone to hear about her fabulous ball at Tibbington Manor. But due to her suspicions something bad may happen she has invited him to have a key witness writing down Last edited by Strictly Jake; 07-05-2022 at 04:00 PM. |

Chapter One
All the the guests have arrived at the ball and are all stood in the dining room Lady Katie: Good evening my fabulous friends, all you rich and important people and of course aquaintences that I'm not so fond of but your welcome here tonight. Please grab some champagne and some canapes and make yourselves at home Audrey: Katie do we only get one glass of Champagne? Push the boat out Darling! Lady Katie: Slow and steady Audrey dear let's not make an embarrassment out of oneself again yes? Dame Teresa Warren: Hmpff. When does that trollop not make an embarrassment of herself?! Audrey: What did you just say to me Teresa!! Elmer: Now Now ladies let's keep things civil shall we, the beautiful Lady Katie has kindly invited us all to this stunning manor for us all to enjoy ourselves, through my adventures around the world I have never seen anywhere quite so pleasant as this. That is why I think it is time to say this. Lady Katie over the last couple of years getting to know you I have a lot of respect for you, your a remarkable woman who I always want on my side, that is why Lady Katie... Horace: Elmer don't you dare to this you know how fond I am of Lady Katie. Elmer: Nonsense old boy you have had your chances with her and she has rejected you everytime. It is time for you to move on. Now as I was saying. Lady Katie would you do me the pleasure of marrying me? Lady Katie: Oh I don't know what to say! Jessie: Come on Kate. Say yes! Allen: You can probably do better than an old fuddy duddy like Elmer Jessie: oh be quiet Allen! Lady Katie: Elmer you make me a happy lady tonight. Of course I will marry you The guests cheer and clap and make a toast and then go to mingle with one another Artist Clyde Henry and Dr Lillian are sat by the grand fireplace Dr Lillian: So Clyde, this is where Lady Katie wants you to hang her portrait? Clyde: Erm yeah...Here...Yes Dr Lillian: What's wrong Darling, you seem a bit out of sorts tonight Clyde: I don't know...there's just something about this house... Dr Lillian: It is an awful lot like those landscape paintings you used to do in your early days, that is probably why Clyde: Yes that could be it. I must ask Lady Katie if I can paint this house some time Over by the dining table Nellie the maid and James the Butler are serving drinks to guests Nellie: Quite the lavish event James James: I've never seen one quite like it ma'am. For the amount of guests you'd think she would have more than just us two on hand Nellie: Well you know how much staff we have lost recently. There was no choice James: I guess so. Have you seen Dr Lillian and Clyde over there. There's just something a bit odd there. I seem to really recognise Dr Lillian Nellie: Maybe she has been in the local paper. She is a pretty great scientist James: Yes that could be it. Jonathan Blackwell is here. I'll ask him if there has been an article about her Over on the sofas Allen and Jessie are sat arms round one another Jessie: You could at least look happy to be here Allen Allen: Whatcha mean. I always look like this. This isn't my kind of event baby doll. Jessie: Well I'm glad you are here I feel safer with you by my side. I really love you Allen: See Lady Katie over there just look at that jewellery she has on. That necklace. Those bracelets. They must be worth a fair penny Jessie Jessie: I don't know what that has to do with anything. Why are you asking? Allen: Well word on the street says my rival gang have been spotted in Tibbington Village. Those lousy thieves probably want to break into this manor. Looking at that jewellery I can see why! Over near the dancefloor journalist Jonathan Blackwell and Broadway Actress Erma Green are talking Erma: ooh It is so exciting to meet a journalist. I bet you find out so much juicy information Jonathan: I'm a local journalist. There isn't much that happens in Tibbington Village Erma: well then handsome write about me, I'm the up and coming talent they say, having an article about me would certainly sell some papers Jonathan: I will think about it. Lady Katie doesn't seem very happy to have you here Erma: She isn't. In fact I don't know why I'm invited. She really dislikes me. She's jealous. I'm young beautiful and talented. Let's face it she is past it! In the billiards room Audrey Morgan and Lady Katie are talking Audrey: Oh Kate. I'm so happy for you. Getting married. I hope I'm a bridesmaid Lady Katie: I'm sure you will be. Now you behave yourself tonight. Don't be drinking too much Audrey: hah! Ok Mother! Lady Katie: I'm being serious Audrey, you have a reputation now and you had so much potential I don't want to see you spiral further Audrey: Then I will try. This room makes me shiver Lady Katie: The windows are closed. Perhaps a draft is coming through the fireplace Audrey: It's not cold. I shiver at the hideous thing that happened in this very room Lady Katie: What hideous thing? Audrey: oh come on like you havent heard Lady Katie: I honestly haven't heard. What's happened in this house that I should know about? Horace, Dame Teresa and Elmer are talking near the champagne Table Horace: I can't believe you did that Elmer you know how long I have been in love with Lady Katie Elmer: Well you didn't stand a chance, we can't both have her, you lost her Dame Teresa: I don't understand the appeal, here you two charming men are squabbling over her there is plenty more fish in the ocean as they say Horace: you mean like you Teresa. Want to date me do you? Dame Teresa: Well I really liked you Elmer but you made your choice I guess. If you want to get to know each other better then I'll oblige Just then a blood curdling scream is heard by all the guests. They quickly run to the billiards room Lady Katie: I don't understand what happened I went to the ladies room to powder my nose I sent Audrey to fetch Nellie for me and we came back into here and there she was Audrey: This is so horrendous who could do such a thing!!! Lying dead on the floor blood flowing from her head is...Jessie Foster Lying on the desk next to her is a clue. 20 questions are written and you need to work out the answers. Written in blood by some of the questions is a number. This could be a clue. You will now be paired up to work out the answers and send me them via pm....we will see you tomorrow for Day 2 Here are the pairings Nellie Moss and James Sanders (Niamh and Swan) Allen Foster and Horace Daniels (Parmnion and Alf) Audrey Morgan and Lady Katie Hudson (Annie and Vanessa) Erma Green and Jonathan Blackwell (Cherie and Barry) Dr Lillian Sykes and Clyde Henry (Kate and Lewis) Dame Teresa Warren and Jessie Foster(RIP) (Rusti and Livia) Last edited by Strictly Jake; 07-05-2022 at 12:39 PM. |
