you are a woman who is love with somebody (a man), who then goes and breaks your heart in the cruelest way, wouldnt you go off men for a while after that, or would you be like 'oh well, not all men are like that', sorry but you would hate men after that! it happens with men too, they go out with girls who then cheat on them, then the men say they have 'finished with girls', it happens all the time, now just because its happened to somebody who is on national telly, she is hated, which just isnt fair
Men dont like being tarred with the same brush, just because some scumbag cheated on her
i know men dont like that, but just imagine:

you have a girlfriend who cheats on you, and because of that you say 'i hate all women', would you like people to hate you for saying that? because i have actually heard people say that after they have been cheated on

Right. It happened, but it's impossible to remember when.
It isn't difficult to find clips of nicky being sexist

Why would anyone say that they hate all women just because one woman cheated on them? Anyone that does that deserves to be hated...

if we are on the subject of race/discrimination, try this:

a couple of weeks back, the men in the house got beer, and decided to keep it for themselves and not share, whats even more shocking is that they invited jonothan in but didnt invite gerry! so they excluded gerry and he is gay! thats the most racist thing ever probably
they invited Johnathan because his Gran had just died
sorry, but thats not rubbish, i find it hard to believe that every single man in the house was in the diary room that night except for one, and the one that was singled out and not invited was gerry, who is gay, and while in the diary room, they kept saying things like 'one for the men', and stuff like that, so basically all the men in the house decided to have a little get-together, but didnt invite gerry because he is gay, now that is homophobic
They forgot to invite him! None of them said they didn't invite him because he was gay. Where did you get that from? You seem to be making things up to strengthen your argument.

Also, why are you making a big deal out of that? It was nothing and I thought this was about nicky not the guys?
I think Laura has a point, I was suspicious of that myself and wondered why Gerry wasn't invited. They didn't specify that they brought Jonathan in because he was leaving soon and because of the tragic news he received earlier. But they did specify that they wanted all the men in the Diary Room, and yet left out the only gay man.

Not to mention, Ziggy was there with Brian and Liam and has shown signs of homophobia before, it just makes me more suspicious.

Of course no-one can really know why Gerry wasn't invited to the Diary Room after they three boys had specifically said they wanted all the men in there, I'm only suspicious of why they excluded Gerry but I don't know for sure, neither can anyone else.
thats my point exactly, their exact words were 'lets get all the men', then they went and got jonothan (who was sitting on the same sofa as gerry!), but they never got gerry, now tell how that isnt homophobic? they said they were going to get 'ALL the men', and they did, but the only man they left out was gay, and that want just coincidence at all, because when liam went out to get jonothan, jonothan was sat on the sofas talking to gerry, they purposely (or maybe just liam) excluded gerry for some reason, and the obvious reason would because he was gay, and they wanted some sort of 'manly get together'. nicky is a saint compared to others.
You are reading too much into this. Sometimes it's best to focus on the facts and what has actually been said rather than to speculate about what you think the men where thinking.
Which is exactly what I did. I only focused on the facts, what was actually said, and what wasn't said.

They didn't say they were inviting Jonathan in because he was leaving soon and because of his tragic news earlier. So you can only assume or guess that was why Gerry was left out.

They did say that they wanted all the men there. They did have all the men in there, except for Gerry, who happens to be gay. So there is reason to assume from looking at the facts, as you said to do, that Gerry was excluded, possibly because of homophobia. Of course the fact that they didn't actually say they were leaving Gerry out because he was gay has to be considered, which is why I am suspicious but don't know for sure it was homophobic exclusion.

If we go on what nicky has said, I think many would find her more offensive. I suppose we will see come friday.
i have an great memory and a sky+ box to back this up:

-all the men (except for jonothan and gerry) were called to diary room, and given beer

-they all then said 'lets get all the men' (exact words!)

-liam then left the diary room to collect a bottle opener and 'the men'

-liam went to jonothan who was sat on the couch and told him to go to the diary room (gerry was sat next to jonothan, but liam didnt say anything to jonothan)

-all the men (except the only gay man) then gathered together in the diary room, they said they were going to get all the man, but then left the gay man out, now how is that not homophobic???

p.s dont reply saying that liam might not have seen gerry, because he sat on the sofas near jonothan, liam didnt want gerry in the diary room= homophobic!

I don't think anyone here understands what you mean with the whole homophobic argument, since it isn't true. All the men get on with gerry. Also you are completely off topic, I thought this was about nicky?

What's the relevance? A prolonged argument which featured heavily on the entire series, compared to a supposed one-liner that may or may not be lurking in a dusty corner somewhere?

Why would anyone say that they hate all women just because one woman cheated on them? Anyone that does that deserves to be hated...
matt, your obviously extremely narrow minded, i know for a fact that if i had been cheated on by a string of men, then i would go around saying that i hated men
Different contexts. I said that if ONE woman cheated on a man, and that man then came to the conclusion that he hated women, then he deserved to be vilified, not by a STRING of women.

In that clip, she said she is NOT missing male company, and that it would be nice to have eye candy and a bit of a flirt. And then she said, all they will do is eat more and complain theres no beer, seriously how did you find that offensive??

You are reading too much into this. Sometimes it's best to focus on the facts and what has actually been said rather than to speculate about what you think the men where thinking.

And Nicky gets on with the men as well, and is attracted to men. You said that this doesn't mean she isn't sexist. So why are you now saying just because they get on with Gerry, that it means they're not homophobic?

Hating or discriminating all members of one group because of the actions of a few in that group is never right in my opinion and doesn't make you look like a very nice person.
