Surely the greatest housemate ever would attribute to the greatest ratings ever. Surely? Anyone?!
I agreeeeee
nope it depends on the shares from each series, BB5 and BB7 had same level of success, BB7 would had more rating if the eviction did not happen.

Look, MORE people watched the first 2, thats what It goes by.
So your say BB5 is crapper than BB3 because of the rating

BB7 gets awards, which is the main thing, but BB5 awardless.

Guess what, who was voted the most popular housemate, by Virgin Media who sponsors the current big brother, non other than a BB7 housemate, why did BB5 popular housemate had less on that poll.

You said Big Brother 5 is 'crapper' because of the ratings yet you LIVE AND DIE by the fact that big bro 7 WON AN AWARD?!

Some people hate BB7 , I dont. Some people hate Nikki , I do. Despite the awards. Despite everything.

Your arguments criss cross each other and backfire on you at an insane rate. Some of your claims are downright outlandish.

And learn how to string sentences together before you try and convince a bunch of hardened Nikki haters to think otherwise!!!

Pah!

Its as simple as this , Big Brother 5 got more ratings per average than big brother 7. Your not going to argue against the ratings are you? THE FIGURES ARE RIGHT THEIR!

As the ratings show, BB7 had higher ratings in week 1 compared to BB5 in week 1. BB7 had 52.366m in total and BB5 had 40.5m in week 1, means 13 million more than BB5 in week 1.
33.5m bb5 beat BB7 by just 3 million in week 2, which BB7 had 30 million.

BB7 total rating uptill nikki being evicted

Week1 52.366m
Week2 30.475
week 3 34.879
week 4 38.217
week 5 36.438
week 6 38.28
week 7 39.827
week 8 38.561 Nikki evicted

Total for 8 weeks = 309.049 million

BB5 8 weeks total

week 1 40.5
week 2 33.5
week 3 41.8
week 4 33.2
week 5 38.8
week 6 40.2
week 7 38.54
week 8 42.46

Total for 8 weeks of BB5 = 309m.

HaHa, BB7 has beaten BB5 in ratings for 8 weeks, untill Nikki Grahame has been evicted, BB7 has 309.049 million, BB5 has 309m, which mean Nikki kept the ratings up. the rest I will calcualte later, or someone else can do it for me, this means, if her eviction did not happen, BB7 would of been clear ratings winner.

I will not compare week 9 and week 10, as unable to get some of the days ratings for those 2 weeks.

I so agree, BB7 has had better rating than BB5, except for the fial night, I compare the first 8 weeks, and BB7 beat the BB5 in ratings, I could not compare 9 and 10, as it is unfair, so BB5 has not beaten BB7 in ratings, except the fianl night.

Are kidding, Nikki impression, her diary comments and some of tantrum were the key factor of successful BB7, she was pure comedy gold, who would of done those funny spontaneous mimicking without her, it went boring when she left.
Nikki got so annoying though, she just got boring, the way Charleys getting now.
Nikki only got boring after she returned, and that was the publics fault, she became aware of her popularity, and she then faked it, but look at BBLB slot, she is entertaining.

is your name steven by any chance

How does the number of people who tuned in to something they'd never seen before suggest that it was good? It just means that they did a good job with the hype, before the whole thing went pear-shaped shortly after.

I do have to agree with you though - BB7 is certainly better than BB8...

How does the number of people who tuned in to something they'd never seen before suggest that it was good? It just means that they did a good job with the hype, before the whole thing went pear-shaped shortly after.
Well you only picked up on Opening night, what about the calculation of whole rating, BB7 just beat BB5.

The number of people who watched any given series of BB comes down to many things. In particular, the competition (or lack of) in the same timeslot. The difference in the stats is mostly marginal, so hardly conclusive. But even if BB7 had treble the viewing figure of any other series, that doesn't mean that it was 'the best'. Everyone likes different series for different reasons, as the polls here prove. That's their choice, and they're hardly likely to be swayed by someone coming along and telling them that they're wrong, with nothing to back it up. BB7 had 21 hm's, and most of them sucked. Nikki may have been one of the best hm's BB has ever had, but that's more than cancelled out by the fact that BB7 made us suffer Aisleyne, Grace, Sezer, Mikey, Spiral, Michael, Susie, Shahbaz, George, Glyn & Jayne.

I understand what you mean, but people were claiming BB5 had higher ratings than BB7, when it didn't, BB7 just squeezed past, but you also forgot, BB7 had world Cup, BB5 had Euro 2000 which ends to about 3 weeks, and world cup over a month.

It would have been the same but without a known winner.
geoking, whats your opinion? whats your favourite BB? You sound like a bb6 kinda guy
Actually, my favourite is BB5. I loved BB6, but BB5 was just slightly more creative because it was the first evil Big Brother and that radically changed how we think about it. I'm going to list everything that was good about BB5-BB7 and we'll see which wins:

Big Brother 2004
First evil Big Brother
The highest quanitity of entertaining housemates (Marco, Nadia, Michelle, Emma, Kitten, Victor, Dan)
Very well thought out twists
A new look for Davina
Amusing tasks
The bedsit and fight night
Michelle hating Becki and Ahmed
The boot camp
The wedding

Big Brother 2005
Extremely well designed house
Most housemates that I liked
Very well designed tasks
The box task
Week 7 (Big Brother will lie twice)
The audience laughing at Vanessa after seeing her face during Lesley's eviction announcement
Secret missions
Cidergate
I loved Room 101
Best graphics (coundown was better than BB8's, perfect title sequence)
Makosi

Big Brother 2006
Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace
Nikki Grahame
Richard Newman
Get Grace Out
The Golden Housemate twist
Grace throwing water on Susie

My thing that I hated about Big Brother 7 was Pete. I never understood why anyone liked him or why he won. He did nothing, yes he was nice, but that's not why you should win. Aisleyne was gypped out of the prize, she did the most. The same thing happened to Makosi who was the star of BB6 but didn't win. Who cares about the pool incident? And her interview with Davina was horrid, Davina should have told the crowd to shut up. If I were in Makosi's place, I would have yelled, "Shut up you ********** wankers!" I always feel like BB6 was a chic version of BB5, but BB5 was in another league.

Farhad, Big Brother 2004 had an average of 5m viewers, BB7 only had 4.7m. The reason why BB7 was high was because it started earlier than any other BBUK series, thus establishing itself earlier. Otherwise it would have had lower ratings.

Grace and Nikki were the most entertaining, as well as Richard.
