I didn't see that twist coming at the end of the last episode.

I hope season 2 is as good and maybe one or two new permanent characters are introduced.

ITV1 have announced they will be showing season 2 of Pushing Daisies.

I don't know why they are showing season 2, it didn't do that well for them.
ITV will have to show about 22 episodes this time so i expect it to be slotted anywhere they can in the schedule.
Maybe they will show it earlier next year.
