Kanye West has another opportunity to cause controversy at an award show- as he’s up for nine BET Awards.

The rapper has the most nominations for the ceremony- which will take place in Atlanta in October.

Lil Wayne and Jay-Z are both up for seven BET- Black Entertainment Television- awards. LL Cool J will pick up a special lifetime achievement prize.

Let’s hope West behaves himself this time. On Sunday he jumped on stage as Taylor Swift was accepting an award and said Beyonce was better.

He has since apologised on his blog and on Jay Leno’s chatshow.

NEW YORK (AP) — Kanye West and Lady Gaga’s tour is over before it began. Just days after announcing dates for an ambitious tour that was to kick off next month, the tour was canceled. Live Nation announced the news on Thursday. The tour promoter says refunds will be issued. The name of the tour was to be “Fame Kills.” The cancellation comes on the heels of negative publicity for West. He is still feeling the heat for hijacking Taylor Swift’s award-winning moment at the MTV Video Music Awards last month.

Kanye West showed off his charitable side by taking time out to serve a holiday lunch for homeless people on Saturday.


The "Stronger" rapper and his model girlfriend Amber Rose turned up at The Los Angeles Mission, where they volunteered in the kitchen and donned aprons to dish out hot meals to those in need.



He says, "It's just important (to give back) when you're very blessed. (It's nice) to spread your blessings and take time out, especially during the holidays to appreciate people who never get that appreciation. It makes me feel really good to come out here and I just thank y'all for allowing us to be apart of this."



The Los Angeles Mission is located in the downtown Skid Row district, which contains one of the largest populations of homeless people in the U.S.

Power is flying up the charts in the US. It was released on the 30th June and as of the 8th July it is #22 on the Hot 100, and most singles take a few weeks to climb towards the top 20.

Good reviews from critics too:

wow, looks amazing. I can't wait for this album now even though I still think Power is underwhelming.

I've been listening to Graduation a lot recently, I actually think it might be his best album, it's very cohesive.

Graduation was one of the best albums of the decade, can't say i disliked one song on that album " I Wonder " should have been released

I think it was so great because there wasn't an ounce of fat on it. Late Registration has moments of strength but ultimately was so long that it wasn't consistent.

I can't wait for the Katy, Eminem and Nicki Minaj collaborations. Also looking forward to hearing the DJ Premier produced tracks, I think he and Kanye will work well together, I love his sound.

All of the Lights is being released on Feb 21st here in the UK. Video has already been made I think. Monster video has been made aswell but hasn't been released yet.

Although the already-previewed "Monster" music video hasn't arrived yet, Kanye West has already filmed a clip for another single "All of the Lights". While "Monster" features cameos from Jay-Z, Rick Ross and Nicki Minaj, "All of the Lights" is likely to have him sharing screen with Rihanna.

On Tuesday, December 21, RiRi tweeted a picture of herself wrapped in a warm fur coat posing alongside music director Hype Williams who wears a hoodie. The Bajan songstress wrote, "Me and hype...Turn up the lights in here baby, EXTRA BRIGHT b***hes!!!"

Both "Monster" and "All of the Lights" are taken from Kanye's new album "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy". Beside Rihanna, there are also Elton John, La Roux's Elly Jackson, Stacy Ferguson and Alicia Keys contributing to the latter song.

Early version of the song initially featured Drake but he was later dropped from the featured guests line-up. He commented on the removal, "We make music differently. I make what comes to me and I hate changing it, whereas 'Ye will change something 30 or 40 times to get it perfect. To each their own, and the change was to put all those people on it, and I wasn't one of them. That's completely OK."
