NYC neighbor sues Madonna over loud music One of Madonna’s New York neighbors says the superstar’s loud music and frequent dance sessions are causing a commotion. Karen George, of Manhattan, lives above Madonna in a building on Central Park. She said in a lawsuit filed Friday against the building’s co-op board that the Material Girl is using her apartment as a rehearsal studio, forcing neighbors to endure “blaring music, stomping and shaking walls,” for up to three hours each day. George complained about “unreasonably high-decibel, amplified music” and vibrations pouring through walls, ceilings and radiators. The building’s board says it has already threatened to evict Madonna. Madonna’s representatives didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment. source: ap

Madonna, U2 and AC/DC are among the finalists for the 2009 Billboard Touring Awards, which are based on global box-office numbers reported to Billboard Boxscore from October 1, 2008, through September 30, 2009. The awards will be presented at a November 5 reception in New York. The finalists for the Top Tour and Top Draw awards, which acknowledge the top-grossing and top-ticket-selling tours, respectively, are the same three global treks: U2's 360 tour, Madonna's Sticky & Sweet tour, and AC/DC's Black Ice tour. The Top Package award goes to the top-grossing tour with three or more artists on the bill. Finalists include five-time winner Kenny Chesney for his Sun City Carnival tour with Miranda Lambert, Lady Antebellum, Sugarland and Montgomery Gentry on the bill; the Jonas Brothers World Tour 2009 with Jordin Sparks, Honor Society and Wonder Girls; and Nickelback for their Dark Horse tour, with Hinder, Papa Roach, and Saving Abel on board. The Breakthrough Award goes to the top-grossing artist in their first decade as a national headlining act. Four artists enjoyed touring breakthroughs this year: Lil Wayne, Taylor Swift, Kings of Leon, and Il Divo. Dane Cook, Robin Williams, and French & Saunders are finalists for the Top Comedy Tour. Finalists for the Top Boxscore award, which goes to the top-grossing single engagement for the time period, are U2 at Croke Park in Dublin, U2 at Stade de France in Paris, and the Oxegen fest at Punchestown Racecourse in Naas, Ireland. MADONNA hates hearing her old songs.
Legendary tracks such as Holiday and Like A Virgin follow her around wherever she goes. But the Queen of Pop admitted that she has to tell staff in shops and restaurants to switch them off. "Not to toot my own horn but they always play my old stuff when I'm in a shop or wherever," she said. "They are usually songs I am really sick of though and I have to say 'Oh please, turn this off.' "For some reason people think that when you go to a restaurant or you are going shopping that you want to hear one of your own songs. "It's usually Like a Virgin - and that is the one I don't want to hear." Meanwhile Macca fans were up in arms after Madge appeared to suggest his shows were boring. "People have told me, 'You could just go out there and play guitar and sing your songs like Paul McCartney,' but I'd be too bored," she told Rolling Stone magazine. Please let her be coming here to film the revolver video, and rehersing for her Xfactor performance.
Do you think she will have lil Wayne make an appearance if she performs? I think it will help sell revolver alot more IMO I personally can't stand lil Wayne but he is good on revolver |
