Family Guy are completely incapable of doing anything sentimental or emotional though because everything else's so mean-spirited and cynical

that's why Futurama/The Simpsons will always be greater, they were funny but without being dicks about it

but its just sad for me because it made think of what my cat would say if he could speak... before he got put down

it sounds pathetic but i think he knew how much we loved him and how well we cared for him... his last few years he became so kind and loving. i think he knew he was dying

I wish I'd watched Futurama more, I never really bothered with it. I only recently caught the episode where Leela finds her parents and there's the ending montage of them helping her out from the sewers over the years </3

there're a couple of one-off jokes that take me by surprise and are quite clever & funny, but the general premise of the show's become "how goofy can we make homer?" in rival to peter/stan

no show can last more than ten years with original ideas though
