Well that's a damning indictment of 80% of people who got off their arse go vote. You've heard most of them speak? MOST of them? Do you know how many people voted??

And as you weren't one of those people who bothered to vote it's a bit rich to whine about the outcome now.

I hate people that say this.

1. My 1 vote wouldn't have made a difference.

2. I do expect that my fellow countrymen and women should be able to vote for what's best for this country and not personally on a subject like this, this isn't a General Election where you can get away with ****ing up.

And also with how hectic my life has been lately (which is only gonna get worse thanks to the Leavers) I haven't had the time to vote.

All I can do is laugh. I will laugh at those who voted for this who find that in the near future they're being forced to work longer, for less and with less rights like holiday pay when the Tories come for a trashing of them. I will laugh when their bills for things that were capped under EU law skyrocket. I will laugh if and when it transpires that you need a ****ing visa to visit France. Only then will people realise the mistake they've made.

That said, I am delighted at how engaged so many people were in democracy and politics, it is great to see. Congrats to the Leave side, but your insults about sour grapes and being 'bitter' are completely pointless. Of course I'm ****ing bitter. This is MY future you've just ****ed, and I will bloody well tell you about it

Hope the Scots get another opportunity to get the **** away from Little Englanders and rightly take it this time
There's two sad things about this Jack.

1. Innocent people who wanted an easy life will now pay the price for what the Leave campaigners have done (including myself) will be screwed over by this.

2. The older generations spited the younger generations who will have to live in this country for many more years to come, just because the older generations hate Immigration and Muslims.

But I agree with you on how nice it was to see so many people involved in this discussion.

Mock, you don't know how any of the generations voted. As for immigration, for years no one's been allowed to have a dialogue about immigration because the Left all scream "racist". If we'd had that dialogue and immigration had been controlled, the result would have been different.

Your comments seem very passionate. Shame you weren't passionate enough to vote.

There's been research into how all of the generations voted, and the younger people who have got to live in this country for many more years to come have got screwed over for older people's prejudices.

And I'm not saying that people should scream racist when people show concern about Immigration, it's when it becomes the sole reason for people to want to pull out of the EU is when it starts to look dodgy and really silly.

And I wish I had've voted tbh, I got really cocky and thought that the UK/England would've been smart enough not to **** ourselves over, I guess this country is thick like my parents.

Show me this research.

You think the whole country is thick because it doesn't agree with you.

And you've just insulted your parents because they didn't agree with you. Nice.

And alllllllll this after you didn't vote.

Excellent post Jack_.

If the Scots get another independence vote and go for it this time, I hope they will let me in, I would far rather support the Scots on this island.
In fact I may head off up there anyway.

You can't compare countries with each other as they have different circumstances and are run differently.

The UK had the 5th best Economy in the world whilst being in the EU, we had it great and if people was really patriotic about this country they wouldn't have voted to jeopardize our Economy which is the most important thing alongside Law & Order for every country.

So yeah just because places like Norway had it all sorted (which wouldn't have happened overnight) doesn't mean that the UK are in the position to do this.

Err... Denmark, Sweden and Finland are all EU members. I'll assume you're talking about Norway. If so - you're talking about a small nation with less than 8% of the UK's population size.

That aside, the Norwegian PM himself confirmed that the reason Norway fits in as an idependent nation is that, whilst they get to keep more control over their day-to-day affairs, they simply piggyback on European law unofficially and bring pretty much everything that is decided in Brussels into Norwegian law. They don't "have to", but they do, and that's why it works.

Can you see the UK being up for that? Simply voting in every European law anyway, but without anyone at the table when those laws are being decided in the first place?

Me, as one who couldn't have any influence, looking at the outcome of this referendum.

I don't know how I feel about it though. It's not like GB will crash and burn, just a bit of a chaos for a while. Add to this the time when Trump will be elected, then it will be when this happens:

Hopefully if Scotland get to have another referendum to leave the UK the rest of us get the chance to decide if we want to keep them or not.
