Murphy said at the Comic Con panel for AHS and Scream Queens that the connections between seasons is featured again this year in a bigger way, and past characters will make re-appearances and check into the hotel.

I've been thinking that this could tie into Lange making a guest appearance as Fiona Goode. With the season set in modern day this would make sense considering she's rumored to have a guest spot.

Constance makes much more sense considering murphey said he'd revisit them at some point, so them being in hotel would be great imo
