additionally, if people don't end up in intensive care, its a different level of care that is required. This is not the issue we were dealing with 12 or 18 months ago

yes, london is about a week or so ahead of the rest of the country. We know nothing for certain, but it looks like the infections/hospitalisations will peak over the next week and then it "should" be over the worst and fall pretty rapidly from there

I work with a guy who’s one of the few who has avoided Covid thus far ..

He reckons it’s because he’s had a cocktail of jabs .. all three different !!

Thoughts ?

Many people who think they have avoided it could quite possibly have had it but been asymptomatic. I haven't had it but I think its more luck than anything else

Maybe although I did an antibody test back in Sept 2020 and was negative

and we do regular lateral flows as well

Oh I know, I honestly don't think I've had it, I test regularly but haven't done an antibody test so can't know for sure if I have actually had it or not. Most of Matthew's mates have had it but he hasn't as far as I know but they all had it before laterals were a regular thing

i dont believe I've had it. We were all paranoid early 2020 where the least sniffle or tickle in the throat meant we could have covid

The infection mechanism isn't as simple as it appears. My brother got covid oct/nov last year, his wife didn't. Then his wife got omicron just before new year and he didn't get it .... work that one out if you can
