Which is why it it needs police presence - to protect the monuments, and to protect to well-meaning protesters' image.

To this I'm going to add it will avert vigilantism - I'm sure that some -let's call them "overly zealous patriots"- will be there to protect the Cenotaph etc, and they surely won't conduct themselves in an orderly manner either.

i support the israeli people, not the complete morons in their government (especially when knowing there are many innocent palestinians near those schools, hospitals, in ambulances and yet they still decide to continue to bomb everything, just because it's considered ''collateral damage'' people aren't numbers, if there are hamas terrorists amongst innocent civilians, act accordingly, with special forces commando's, cleanly taking out the terrorists and saving the civilians but no, the brainless of the IDF don't even think about that option)
