Nah the injury wasn't crippling her or anything but her foot was severely strapped during the Wozniacki match, and her footwork wasn't as good as it normally is in the final. Even if she was 100% she would have still had a tough time of it just because Stosur was playing so well.

As for the incident, she really let herself down with her behaviour. She was totally in the wrong (unlike 2009) so had absolutely no excuse. It's amazing how quickly she dismisses it from her mind and acts like nothing ever happened. I've not seen her press conference but I can imagine how it went. It's really not difficult to see why so many people dislike her.

As for me, I don't call myself a fan of hers simply due to her attitude but I respect the hell out of her tennis. I dont think 13 majors shows what a player she actually is. I want her to build on her legacy and at least match Navratilova and Evert's 18.

I understand she's a great champion and I respect that but I wouldn't mind watching new women win slams, like Sam did, I think it just makes the womens game more exciting.

What else can we say about Djokovic this year? Just too good.

Kvitova won the end of tour championships last week; a new star in the making in the women's side.

Federer and Djokovic still going strong in the Swiss open. Murray pulled out of this tournament and Nadal has pulled out of the Paris Masters.

Just goes to show that this calendar is a little extreme!

^ You jinxed him Marc! Djokovic lost to Nishikori in the semis. I didn't see the match but the 2-6, 7-6(4), 6-0 scoreline is suspicious. Maybe an injury.

Kvitova will be number 1 in no time. A decent month in Australia should do it.

Also, I booked my tickets for the ATP tour finals at the O2 the other day. Hope I get a good match this year. I saw Djokovic v Berdych last year and it was pretty terrible. Berdych just didn't show up.

Aw I didn't see this until now;

Have you gone to the ATPFinals yet? I have been the past 2 years but I couldn't risk going this year because I have far too much Uni work to get done. Silly Andy Murray

I'm going for tomorrow's day session - Federer v Fish. I would have preffered Nadal v Tsonga but this is a good alternative. I've never seen Federer play live, only in practise.

Laura Robson plays Jelena Jankovic [13] (Played against each other at Wimbledon 2010, good performance from Robson but lost in 2Sets 6-3 7-6)

Elena Baltacha plays Stephanie Foretz Gacon (Ranked 108 in the world, never progressed further than the 2ND Round of Australian Open in her 15 year career)

Heather Watson plays Victoria Azarenka [3] (Winner of Sydney this week, never made a Grand Slam final)

Anne Keoathavong plays Mona Barthel (Surprise winner of Hobart this week, first time playing in Australian Open, best Grand Slam appearances being the 2ND Round at both French and US Opens last year)

James Ward plays Blaz Kavcic (Made all Grand Slam main draws last year, Best performance was 2ND round in Australian and French Opens in 2011)

Andy Murray plays Ryan Harrison (Best showing in Australian Open is 1ST round, ranked 84 in the world, highest scalp is No.15 seed Ivan Ljubicic in the US Open last year)

Unlucky draws for Watson and Robson but not bad for Ward. Baltacha should come through comfortably. Then after round 2, British focus will be entirely on Murray again

Quarter final predictions Marc?

Djokovic v Tipsarevic
Murray v Tsonga
Federer v Del Potro
Nadal v Berdych

Wozniacki v Clijsters
Azarenka v Radwanska
S. Williams v Kuznetsova
Kvitova v Bartoli

Djokovic v Tipsarevic
Murray v Tsonga
Federer v Del Potro
Nadal v Berdych

Li Na (Clijsters injury is a worry) v Wozniacki (if she's not injured)
Azarenka v Radwanska
Williams v Lisicki (optimistic)
Kvitova v Stosur

Five brave Brits went on court today, one came off with an injury, one came off having only won 1 game, one came off having only won 2 games, and the other two lost in straight sets.

What a shocker!

1/6 Brits remain.

A day to forget for the Brits I expected better from Baltacha though...

Match of the day would have to be Tomic/Verdasco. Maybe Tomic can teach the Brits a thing or two about handling home crowd pressure when Wimbledon comes around!

Yeah Tomic is having a good year. Not so much this Grand Slam because Roger is waiting in the 4th Round and if by some miracle he wins that, Del Pot is in the quarters.

It's now 12:01AM and the Tennis is on live!

The match only started about 20-30 minutes ago.

I think I heard it was the 2nd latest night match or something
