I never expected them to win,I am pleased they didn't win.but to deem someone as a loser that comes 3rd out of 10 places is hilarious,Whatever does that make the 4th to 10th places then.

There can only be one winner in any contest like CBB, I am glad Paddy was the one to win in the end.
Jedward and Kerry did really well too,although I don't care for Kerry at all,they did well. Those who came 2nd to 5th finished in the top half of the results but are deemed as losers?? Well,the mind boggles at that claim.

I agree Joey,the biggest fault with some of the BB audience is there hypocrosy.

And I didnt know coming 4th or 5th out of 10 contestants was bad either Joey,especially the two that was 4th and 5th had a romance together,and had people fancying them so Imo if your gonna say somebody did bad then Amy and Lucien would be the ones to pick.

I said 'deemed' losers Zippy,not that 'I' thought them losers,I said that in response to your logic?as to saying that. Your logic being that someone coming 3rd out of 10 is a loser, your words not mine,so by the same token that must make those who came below 3rd in your logic, even greater losers rather than 2 of them finishing in the top half of the series.

I don't think any of them are losers as such, but if as you claim Jedward are losers coming 3rd, then those in 4th to 10 th must really be losers.
I doubt 'most' people here or anywhere else would subscribe to that view.

Anyway, as ever I agree to disagree with you on that.

Deemed being the operative word

rather than an affirmative.

It's all relative -what one classes as a loss, some class as a win. It's the 'glass half full' effect.

seems to me that Jedward had an unfair advantage the whole series, channel five favoured them in the highlights show, and they had each other for moral support in the same way that Samanda did.

If you don't win then you lose. By definition you are a loser. If you are expected to win and then only come 3rd....you are definitely a loser.

In the long run their appearance on BB will only have added to their earning potential, they will have pleased their fanbase with their antics on the show. Consequently thier agent will ask for more money for appearances etc.

So losers, nah I dont think so.

given the unfair advantage they had all series 3rd was a pretty ordinary performance at best.

If they were expected to finish top, yes. If they were expected to get to no1, yes.

It's all relative. And last night they were the biggest losers because they had the highest expectations.

anyone who come out of a show 3rd and still has SO MANY people discussing them, talking about them, and not just their fans can NEVER be classed as losers.

If anything: it proves that the terminology WINNER is a very loose one as far as gameshows / entertainment shows are concerned.

CH5 need to balance what housemates are allowed to bring in......I cannot believe Jedward would have got all their trick outfits ito one suitcase.

I hope the other housemates were given a vertual unlimited amount of luggage to take in. If not Jedward would have been given an unfair advantage.....

All this talk about what a winner is. Simple!!!! in a competition with one prize there can only be one winner. All the rest be they second or third or what ever are the losers.....

Saying runner ups are winners is like saying people with two correct numbers on a lottery ticket are also winners because the were next to those with three correct numbers. One prize equalls one winner........
