Can't agree with that at all tbh, through things I've seen plenty of women have gone back to partners despite unprovoked attacks, for different reasons (believing that they've changed, trusting them again etc)

Immediately afterwards, sure. Maybe within a couple of months. Not several years later after a long time apart, and with him never laying a finger on her ever again after that. It was a one off until proven otherwise.

But it all comes down to that individual person, every case is different. If she did 'provoke' him, like what can happen in many relationships, he should have responded with words, not his fists.

Yes. I'm not disagreeing with you. I think you and Salman seem to think I'm a domestic abuse apologist. I'm not - what I'm saying is I think Rihanna has a nasty streak in her and now I can see why Chris Brown perhaps beat her up.

The response to my post is exactly what I mean though. People are too quick to write it off as a black and white situation where Chris Brown beat up Rihanna and that's all there is to it. Again, as I don't think people are getting this, I am not suggesting that she is to blame. I've been assaulted twice before in my life, I don't consider myself to be at fault for either situation.

I guess that we don't read into it because there isn't any real evidence in the first place. Couples will argue, bicker and what not, we've probably all witnessed it, with most partners being able to control their actions. Rihanna might be nasty or whatever, but neither of them have really duldged into what was said before hand, so it's anybodies guessing game.
