A lot of things caught my eye on that Nintendo direct but the one that had me most excited funnily enough was that amiibo. Just watched a seperate video on nintendo youtube channel that tells you more about it and by using them in smash bros you can enhance their stats and everything. The link figure especially looks amazing.

Never fancied skylanders or that other one but this nintendo Amiibo looks the real deal for me. Would love to know what it has to do with Mario kart 8 though.

Fanboys everywhere, I think all 3 showed signs of great potential for this gen, all 3 have got games that I want to buy and play, it's just deciding what my first console will be (when I get a job ofc) but I think PS4 is for me rn.

Yeah they weren't spectacular, but they all at least showed something that I was interested in!

Nintendo's conference was by far the most interesting of the three, all had a few things of interest but neither Sony or Microsoft showed enough for me to buy a console.

My favourite new IP of the bunch was Splatoon, but it didn't have a lot of competition tbh. The conferences were very fast paced, but strangely didn't seem to be showing much. All sort of proof-of-concept, teaser trailer stuff. Also a LOT more remakes than I'd have liked (I find it funny that Sony's big PS4 titles this year are Last of Us and GTAV, last year's big PS3 titles).

Hoping we hear some more interesting stuff over the next few days, and maybe Gamescom will have some better titles to show off.

I liked the announcements of Uncharted 4, Ratchet & Clank reboot, Final Fantasy Type-0 and Rise of the Tomb Raider.

I wanted to see big showings of Mass Effect 4 and Final Fantasy XV though, lol.

To be honest, exclusives are a dying breed, which isnt a bad thing at all.

Nintendo showed a hell of a lot more than than, even if you exclude the 2D platformers (Yoshi's Wooly World, Mario Maker), they showed:

-Devil's Third
-Bayonetta 2 (w. Bayonetta 1)
-Hyrule Warriors
-Kirby and the Rainbow Curse
-Captain Toad Treasure Tracker
-Splatoon
-Mario Party 10
-Xenoblade Chronicles X

Plus updates on Smash Brothers and Miyamoto's new projects.

Nintendo are a year ahead, I guess, anywho, my aim wasn't to attack Nintendo, I was just pointing out that Nintendo always seems to get a free pass, they can release similar Pokemon games every year and people just eat it up, CoD dares do the same and gets nothing but **** for it. I do say all this as an actual owner of the Wii U, remember. Microsoft and Sony have all the multiplatform games too, which are some of the ones I am most looking forward to (Tomb Raider! Final Fantasy Type-0!)

At the end of the day though, Nintendo fans love that stuff, just like Microsoft and Sony fans like their stuff. Pretty much all the conferences were equal IMO.

Ratchet and Clank is just a remake.
Bloodborne, not personally fussed for it.
No Man's Sky, skipped the presentation of that as I got bored of it. Just another Indie game in which most of Sony's launch was built on.
Last of Us remastered, remaster. Nothing to write home about there.

Youtube was mentioned. Crowd cheers despite not knowing what the plan was. Which sums up how many Sony fanboys must of been there. Cheering over the mention of the word 'Youtube'... srs?

PlayStation Go, nothing new there. We knew about that. They've not mentioned any details of how much games will cost.
PlayStation TV, not fussed. Can see how some will be though. Although we'll get raped on the conversion as always.

Personally more interested in Nintendo's offering. Sony's presentation was so long winded, in which we had the life story of the head of SCEA who couldn't keep his hands still. The fat blonde guy, Boyes something was on stage too long spouting dull crap.

Again, pathetic pot shots at MS. That got old a long time ago. Wasn't really funny at the time, tbh. Especially seeing as though they were in MS' position the generation prior due to pathetic arrogance.

Definite Sony bias within the gaming press. CVG's analysis the presenter said something along the lines of, 'Microsoft's conference was decent but everything Sony showed made you go 'WOW''

LBP 3 in which the players were cringe worthy.
A mere mention of PS Morpheus is a WOW?! Really?
Disney Infinity? Wow? Really?
Powers? WOW! A dull guy on stage after the long bloody talk shows a bit of concept art.
Wowed by GTA 5 announcement? Despite the fact it's multi-platform
Wowed by Batman Arkham Knight gameplay, granted it looked amazing, yet that is multi platform.

And those letters... deary me. If this was MS' conference there'd be constant piss takes of the letters, audio glitches and Boyes on stage talking crap.

Now I respect opinion, some will of found Sony's conference to be good. However, for the moron at CVG to say he was wowed by everything Sony showed... fanboy at the highest level.

It's mainly going to be people looking at games on the showfloor, no more big reveals (except for Nintendo revealing a 3DS game later)
