In fairness now that you know whodunnit, it probably is not worth the watch, basically the kid died at the hands of Joe Miller, Ellie was investigating the case with David Tennant (can't recall his screen name, alzheimers), and Miller was Ellies husband, cue she lost her career and her oldest son who was bessie mates with the victim, not sure where he is now

I think they're accusing Alec of beating it out of him to get a confession at the shed/house w/e before Ellie did, she said something like 'how are we meant to know if he didn't get those injuries before arriving at the station'.
