Just to put the cat amongst the pigeons so to speak, say this did happen and the G&C were blocked, is it not easy for somebody to get past that and act nice until they reach say a 10 post sheild and then attack again?

But by that time mods can see if that user is either a previously banned user, or using a proxy (which is banned) so they'd be banned before they have a chance to attack users

Well I sort of disagree somebody made about 10 twitter accounts to pretend to be members here, if someone is willing to do that I can't imagine it's a big stretch to sit at their nans to make an account to get past the block.
