I think Bollywood and the Uk really haven't had much exposure. I think if she is on big brother "bollywood" shall be big over here...not that it isn't already but I wouldn't say I know much about it or have seen any bollywood films. Are you two huge bollywood fans? You seem to know alot about her

GlitterEyes, I'm not asian but I have asian mates and see Bollywood films here and there with them.
But in the past couple of years my interest in them have grown. The locations, the actors/actresses/scripts and the overall product has been getting bigger and better.
And when I heard a Bolly celeb was going into CBB I did my research and found myself in love with Shilpa. I get all my information from a few mates, who are currently under pressure from me to find me pictures

But Bollywood is big. Last time I went and saw an Indian film with my mates, we saw black people and chinese people watching the film

From what I have read about her she seems a very successful lady and although not the biggest star in bollywood she is still huge. I don't think I have ever saw a bollywood film or if I have I certainly don't recall it lol. I think having someone who is different like her will be good for the Uk to watch, not just because she is asian more so that because of bollywood and how much she has done. I just hope she is more than a pretty face and can show that on big brother, as it is a show which can make or break people. I think if she is quiet which she may be in new surroundings then she might not last long...I just hope she has a great personality to go with her stunning looks.

Shilpa Shetty gets a call from Richard Gere!



A phone call from Hollywood actor Richard Gere has made Shilpa Shetty exuberant.

Shilpa, who is shooting for Anurag Basu’s movie Metro nowadays, got a ‘thank you’ call from Gere early this week.


Reportedly, Gere called to acknowledge and appreciate the contribution Shilpa has been making for creating AIDS awareness through her work for the Heroes Project, of which Gere is also a part.

Shilpa has also acted in Bollywood movie Phir Milenge , which gave AIDS related message.

Gere’s call was not wholly unanticipated, as someone from Heroes Project had already told Shilpa that the Hollywood star wanted to talk to her.

Shilpa, who is a self-confessed fan of Gere and an admirer of the social work he’s been doing in this part of the world, was reportedly overwhelmed while talking with the Hollywood star.

She, in her turn, thanked him for the work he has done with Naz Foundation and Gere Foundation India Trust to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS in India.

Shilpa will take out time from her shooting routine to attend the World Aids Day function on December 1 in Delhi.
