BOTS is not the same this year, I feel as if theyve tried to respond to criticism of the show being too camp and crazy by some people, and toned it down. Theyve stopped Rylan dancing in, and gotten rid of the familiar audience we're used to, like Paul and Barbara and the drag queens. The result is that its become a more boring version of itself with nothing really added, theyve only taken things away. Rylan seems to be trying but I can tell its affected him too, as he has less to bounce off of, and the enegy of the whole thing is too low. I know some people on this forum have been critical of BOTS but many others like myself enjoyed the exact things that theyve changed and I believe thats affected the ratings.

Possibly. Tbh I rarely watch BOTS anyway. It’s never been the right type of side show for me, even when Emma was presenting it. I never liked Big Mouth either.
Worth pointing out last night that CBB didn’t trail too far behind the top channel. BBC1 got 2.5m at 9pm which isn’t really that much either. CBB was also the highest rated show on Channel 5 yesterday.

Still just not good enough.
I was hoping the series would be around 1.4m nightly. I get it. The show is getting a good reaction, BUT after like 10 years of pissing viewers off, it's no shock that viewers aren't just gonna flock back. Gaining trust back takes time, I can only hope that this means trust in BB19 will start to be more visible. Also, BB19 should benefit from the new BARB system hopefully. Ratings aside though, i am loving pretty much everything about the series. |

The ratings are a shame (though the 100k rise is nice. More of that please) but I think we all knew that this year was the last. It was all too little too late.

But now we can accept these ratings as the ceiling for the series. 1.2m-1.3m. Just like last summer's which was rating 1.3m along most of it's run. Did we really expect surges? |

If the base rating is around a 1.2, I think one or two new housemates (the right ones of course) could perk it up to 1.4-1.45 which would be a nice increase from last summer. The next eviction I believe was moved to Monday from Tuesday, perhaps thats why? We would probably get an announcement tonight if thats gonna happen.

I mean I dread to think where the civilian version is going to be at.
Mind you, 7% share is just about normal for the show this time of year.
