been busy trying to level my team a bit, it takes forever exploring the wild area now and catching dynamax raid pokemon (which is a little pointless because theyre all in the wild area anyway) but when you catch it you get little prizes like TMs and rare candies which is cute

only thing I dont like about the wild area is some pokemon are like level 30/40 odd and it doesnt let you flee from them so you're stuck having half your team wiped out before you can even flee

Yeah I saw that in a review. I'm going to try avoid the high levels if I can.

I've only just got to the first big city (moto somthing?) but I really love it so far, I dislike that you can only catch pokemon up to a certain level and when you have online enabled in the Wild Area, the FPS drops horribly but aside from that I'm really enjoying it. The Wild Area is pretty great and the raids are quite addictive.

I finally battled the first gym today lmao

my main team so far is Bunny (Raboot), Rouge (Dottler), Violet (Toxel) and my Corviknight whos kinda just there because shes handy (she'll be gone once I need a space)

It was annoying me how long it takes to level up so I emptied some spaces in my party which helped spread the exp between a smaller group

Are you doing the raids in the Wild Area? the EXP S candies gives you 800exp a pop so it's the best way I've found to level.

Started playing at about 1 o’clock and only just got to the second gym

Aside from it it like, dragging, I’m really enjoying it, only got 3 team members right now, Bauer (2nd sobble) Boaing (corvasquire) and Elle (lady yamper)

I’m not really enjoying the Pokemon in the overworkd aspect tbh

I'm just before the first gym, gotta go find Sonia before I can challenge the gym though.

My team is:

Raboot lvl 23
Chewtle lvl 21 - I'm undecided on this one, it's destroying pokemon at the moment so it can stay for now.
Gossifleur lvl 17 - I'm getting rid of this one as soon as I find a better grass type, it's so slow and it deals no damage.
Corvisquire lvl 21 - I will probably dump this in the box once I'm able to catch a Noibat from the wild area.
Yamper lvl 21 - Another one I'll get rid of soon. It's adorable but it's underwhelming.
Gallade lvl 23 - Quite proud of this one. I got a level 20 Ralts from a raid pretty much as soon as I entered the Wild Area and then I found a Dawn Stone so I used one of the rare candies to evolve it into a Kirlia and then used the stone on it to get a Gallade before I'd eve registered for the Gym Challenge. Plus with the move relearner being free to use now, I've taught him Night Slash and some other good moves so now he's like my main powerhouse.

I love the Wild Area, the raids are addictive and you level up so quickly from the items they drop too, it's gonna make levelling up new pokemon real easy. I've explored some of the areas with high level pokemon in it and I can't wait to get some gym badges so I can actually catch some. I like how pokemon you could never find in the wild before can be found in the Aild Area. So far I've been chased down by a Gengar and a Steelix and I imagine a lot of the other trade exclusive evolutions can be found there too.

Im fuming I just found out Corsola only come when its overcast (1 of 6 different weathers) in 1 specific area of the wild area at a 5% encounter rate and the weather changes depending on the time and date... so unless you change your switch settings you have to just wait for the right weather

I found a Hattina so I might add her to my party instead.. ATM I have Cinderace L42, Orbeetle L39 and Toxtricity L36

Oooph, if worst comes to worst you can try trading for a Corsola? I usually end up finding a Ditto, breeding a ton of starters and using them to trade for pokemon that are hard to find.

my Orbeetle is so cute ive had her since route 1 and whenever I open camp shes always the first to come over


oh and also did you know you get exp from using toys and making curry in the camp? I only found that out earlier

I'm not sure, I hope there is. All I've seen for the moment are those badges but I think those trades worked like they did in Let's Go which were a bit cumbersome.

the fire bug you can catch at the fire gym challenge and I read that you cant catch Dreepy in the wild, you have to catch his next stage up evo in the wild area (idk if its 100% true)

I caught the bug at the gym but I haven't seen one in the wild yet (I assume they appear in the latter areas).

I've just beaten the third gym, all my pokemon are level 30 but I have a level 45 Hatterene that I use for the three star raids but it's not in my team for anything other than that. I also got my first Alcremie but I'm not sure if it's anything more than a gimmick pokemon, it has some good support moves so I assume they'll be useful in the high level raids.

My team's still the same for the most part but I've found a pretty good Bounsweet so I think I'll end up evolving it into Tsareena and using it as a replacement for my Gossifleur.

I've just beaten the 5th gym. I was convinced Opal was a drag queen until she called herself an old lady

The storyline is very vague atm, like idk who the bad guys are or anything.. everyones slightly suspicious

I caught a ponyta, got rid of it, it was really bad, I’m highly disappointed, heading towards my 6th gym, current team; Hattern, Centiscorch, Boltund, and Corviknight, I’ve got Intelion and Sandaconda as well, but they’re leaving asap, Intelion is awful, really not a fan of the monotype starters
