I honestly don't understand people who defend this influx, when there is daily victims in one way or another having to bare the brunt of things it's caused.
If they were football fans they would be banned from travelling. |

You’ve gone from evidence to headlines now.
The Spectator saying “reported to police” is doing a lot of work there. Reported is not convicted, and it’s not actual offending rates. It’s exactly the same charge vs conviction problem we’ve already been over. Those grooming scandals were horrific, no one disputes that. But even the official inquiries said the failures were policing, councils and social services ignoring victims for years. Thousands of offenders from other backgrounds were prosecuted before, during and after those cases, but they don’t get turned into culture-wide headlines because they don’t fit the story. You keep cherry-picking the worst cases and then pretending they represent millions of people. That’s not analysis, it’s selection bias. If we judged entire groups by the most extreme crimes, then British men, Catholic priests, celebrities, football coaches and care workers would all be “culturally prone” to abuse. That’s obviously nonsense. Again, the double standard is the point you keep dodging. When crimes are committed by people you see as “us”, they’re individuals and systemic failures. When they’re committed by people you see as “them”, suddenly it’s culture. That isn’t following the evidence. It’s starting with fear and shopping around for articles that back it up.

Victims exist, absolutely. But blaming an entire group for the actions of individuals doesn’t protect anyone, it just lets the real failures off the hook. Policing, safeguarding, housing, social services, courts. That’s where people are being failed, not because someone crossed a border. The football fan comparison doesn’t work either. Football fans get banned individually for their own behaviour, not because they share a passport with someone who kicked off last week. That’s the exact opposite of what you’re arguing for. You can care about victims and still not buy into collective punishment and panic. Those aren’t the same thing, no matter how often you try to blur them.

You’re basically saying you’re happy to punish innocent people for crimes they haven’t committed. Well done. I knew you would get there.

Deng Majek begins the first day of his minimum 29-year sentence today for the murder of Rhiannon Whyte. Majek, a Sudanese national, claimed asylum in the UK in July 2024. Three months later, he stabbed Whyte repeatedly with a screwdriver at a train station in Walsall after following her from the nearby Park Inn Hotel - where she was working and he was staying. Judge Mr Justice Soole said the attack on the 27-year-old was premeditated and involved "particularly vicious brutality", before handing him a life sentence. Meanwhile, Whyte's family have described living with their own life sentence because of his actions. Whyte's mother, Donna, described her as the "gentlest, softest person" after the hearing at Coventry Crown Court. https://www.bbc.com/news/live/cn0kpj99kegt This person should never have been in the country, but Glenn welcomes him and now the taxpayer will pick up the bill for the next 29 years .... Glenns niece when she starts work,, Glenns family all paying tax for this scum....

I doubt Glenn welcomes him, but he's not bothered that people like him are arriving because he sees the greater good. Which is a good thing. Only not this time.

If your argument only works by putting words in my mouth, then it probably isn’t as strong as you think it is. But we both know that. It’s never been strong.

There's a better World to live in out there, I've seen it and lived it.
The World changed on the 11th September 2001. As far as I'm concerned, it was by design and policy. |
