[spoil]Yeah, it was shame about Hedwig, Fred and Lupin

At least none of the trio died though.. Somehow, I thought at least one of them would. Aww it's all over now.. Guess we'll just have to wait for the films! [/spoil]

[spoil]I know. I was so sure Ron would die because I heard a pretty convincing rumour about it. So glad he didn't though.[/spoil]

So, this is what I thought of the final book. I don't want to ruin it for anyone, so highlight the text if you want to read.

[spoil]Oh my god the last book was so sad. Who else cried when Dobby the house elf died? I am still devestated! All the deaths were very sad. I think there were too many, I was only expecting a few, not twenty! But I did think either Ron or Hermione and possibly Harry might die, so I'm so glad they survived. It was horrible when I actually thought Harry would die at the end, but so relieved when he didn't. I never even realised Harry was a Horcrux! I didn't like how the book ended 19 years in the future though, that was a bit dissapointing. It's rather annoying how Harry ended up with Ginny, as I've always found her bratty. But I'm really pleased that Ron and Hermione got together, as I always knew they would! Overall the book was very good, although I still can't forgive JK.Rowling for all the deaths, especially Dobby. It's no way my favourite Harry Potter book as there wasn't enough of Hogwarts, and I reeally missed that. I was convinced that Dumbledore wasn't really dead, and was so dissapointed to find out he really is I like it when Harry spoke to Dumbledore on the 'other side' though and to the others who died. I'm rambling way to much now lol so I'm going to stop. All I will say is I'm so sad the books have ended because I have been reading them for 10 years now. I will read them all again soon [/spoil]

In Deathly Hallows, I loved Professor McGonnagal's role in the story. She's always been my favorite teacher, but in this book she really shone

[spoil]Oh my god the last book was so sad. Who else cried when Dobby the house elf died? I am still devastated! Awww, I enjoyed that read Gemma.

[spoil]I was shocked at Dobbin too, he's so innocent, and I just pictured his big wide eyes as he died, such a loss. There were too many deaths yeah, but I guess it was to show how big this battle was, and how powerful Voldemort is. I was shocked at Fred. It was obvious a Weasley would go though, there are too many of them to keep. Ron and Hermione was coming and we all expected it, but Ginny and Harry is just annoying. It was also sad seeing them taking their kids to Hogwarts, just reminds us of how everything they did is over, and it's time for new 'adventures'. The epilogue was disapointing, didn't really tell us much on how everyone got on after the battle. She has revealed it though so that's good. Plus she's doing an encyclopedia on everything, so we have that to look forward too. I'm going to miss the books so much, they've been a massive part of my life for ages now. Still got two films though, so yay.[/spoil]

[spoil]I know, it was just too sad and it was such a loss. If it wasn;t for Dobby they would have all been dead, and that just makes it even worse because he didn't deserve it! It probably sounds stupid, but I have been depressed for days over that =( I was shocked at Fred's death too, that happened very suddenly and I didn't expect it at all. How is George going to run the joke shop alone? But I always had a bad feeling it would be one of the Weasley's in this book. And I'm glad you agree about Ginny and Harry. I don;t think they were ever suited, and them together is just strange, Ginny was never a main or interesting character and until the 6th book she didn't have much of a role in the books and still doesn't really so I was dissapointed. I agree the end was really sad, and that it didn't tell us enough, I still don't like how it was ended so much in the future, but oh well The problem I am still so curious about so many things I probably will never find out. I heard about the encyclopedia, I can't wait! Hopefully that will fill in some gaps. I won't be reading the last book again for a long time or maybe never, because I can;t bear another week of feeling like ****. That's how depressed I am over it and it won;t be nice to go through that again. It probably sounds pathetic but I always get attached to the characters on books and so many have died it's just terrible. Have you heard of the councelling for those grieving over the last book? I thought it was funny when I first heard it but now I understand it. And omg, I havent even seen the new film yet, but I'm really excited about it. I think they kind of spoil the books to be honest, but they are still great films. [/spoil]

Awww, them icons are great. They're all over LJ, ones like; Harry Potter split my soul into seven.

[spoil]LMAO councelling?? How die hard are people these days. I agree, the last book is going away for a while, lol, it was all too much. I'm re-reading them all so I will get back to it. Have you not seen the film? It's really good, but they miss out so many important things, AGAIN. The film for the last book better give it justice, and include EVERYTHING.[/spoil]

Nothing in literature ever again that I read will rival the 'death walk' to the forbidden forest.
