Also, may I add that this is so weird that elections take place on a week day.
This is so weird to me because in France we always vote on Sunday, and by that everybody is free to go vote (I usually go at 8am when it opens so I don't have to deal with my neighbours watching me pick the paper I will put in the enveloppe and judging me for it, they're so corny and curious). It's election day, so you dress up nice (well, not the times I go vote while still hangover from the night before, or going to vote directly from my hookup's place looking like a mess), and enjoy a nice rotisserie chicken and a bottle of wine (so French). And you patiently wait until 8pm to get the results. But maybe us French are weird for that too

I imagine you guys might have some free time from work to go vote or something? Or like, do you do it at lunch or after work? So weird.

We can vote between 7am and 10pm which accommodates most people and if not we also have a postal vote option

Right, thanks! So you don't get the results in the evening if it closes at 10pm?
I don't think I could sleep without the results!

The postal vote thing was discussed in France too but we are too afraid of votes being lost and corrupted, so that's a no for now.

In the biggest cities it closes at 8pm whereas all other cities close at 6pm, which gives sufficent time to count and provide data for the formula to run and send the results at 8pm sharp. Percentages slightly delay in the evening when proper counting is over. Funnily enough, Belgium knows before we do and the ban to reveal the results before 8pm doesn't apply there, so Belgium media spoil our results, hence why I tend to not look at Twitter as from 6pm.

I always wondered why a weekday too.. surely a Sunday makes most sense as its usually a half day for people who do work.

Jesus, that woman is the gift that keeps on giving

I legit wonder if she has early onset dementia tbh. I'm not even being facetious, it would explain a lot.

I doubt she can even count to ten...

So two different shoes and the one on her right foot looks to be a left shoe ?!

And Abbott acts like a simpleton whenever she's interviewed.

I don't think either should be near power tbh
