I remember when United fans looked down at Vlaar with all this "lol, he isn't United Quality" bull****. Well if he joined he would pretty much become our best CB instantly and our leader(barring Jones and Smalling maturing drastically)......so I would say he is United quality right now . I think it would be good to have a defender who can actually lead his defensive line and would also have a solid relationship with the Manager. Rojo looks like happening though so I think they will try go for the home run compliment of Benatia and once Bayern steal him it may well be Vlaar. Wouldn't mind if the price is decent, but obviously Benatia would be main option.

I think the Article was implying the transfer fee and a 4/5 year contract. It was such a mess though and had "100m DI MARIA" as the backpage headline just to get attention
