Out of pot three I think (hope) we'll get Besiktas/Olympiakos. Wanting to avoid the rest of the others.

Last pot, I'd take anybody BUT Wolfsburg. Surprised they're in the third pot tbh.

Draw I hope for:

ARSENAL
RANGERS
Besiktas
Urzicieni (who the ****?)

Predicted draw:

ARSENAL
Real Madrid
Stuttgart
Maccabi Haifa

And take that group

Rangers 1st
Arsenal 2nd

Scoot Brown is a ****..as is the rest of their team.

Celtic midfielder Massimo Donati has demanded a UEFA ban for Arsenal striker Eduardo over the way he won a penalty in last night's Champions League clash.

"It is not good when a guy does that," Donati said. "Artur pulled away from him and it was not a penalty. Everybody knew it. It is part of football and you can do nothing once the referee gives it. Eduardo said nothing to us - he could say nothing. My idea for life, not just for football, is to be honest but sometimes people are not honest.

"He could maybe in trouble for it. For me, it is the same as other incidents in the past. You have seen it a few times with the Rangers player and the other player - they were banned. If they UEFA think it is the same situation, he will probably be in trouble."

Boruc protested vociferously and even confronted Eduardo over his blatant deception. "It was not a penalty," said the simmering Pole afterwards. "I do not remember what I said to him - maybe I should learn more Croatian - but it changed the whole game."

Manchester City signing Joleon Lescott hopes Everton fans understand why he chose to leave.

"Of course it is going to bother me," he said.

"I had a good rapport with the fans and we got on well. I would like to think they understand I gave my all for Everton."

Not that Lescott wants to spend too much time talking about his old club.

Yet the 27-year-old has been accused of having a bad attitude by former manager David Moyes, who felt he made a mistake playing the defender in Everton's 6-1 home hammering by Arsenal on the opening day.

"I was disappointed in the comments about my attitude because they were not accurate," he said.

"I felt I conducted myself in the right way. If the players at Everton didn't think so I apologise.

"I also thought the criticism of my performance against Arsenal was a little bit unfair.

"I know it wasn't my finest performance for Everton. But I didn't think it was my worst either. It was a collective performance and Arsenal were better than us on the day."

He's a twat. They're bitter twats - just because they got their arses handed to them on a gold plate. They're making it out as if Eduardo is the first person in the history of the game to dive and con a referee. Yes Im against it and Im disappointed in him, but a BAN?!

Spartak Moscow are willing to pay Tottenham Ł10million to bring Roman Pavlyuchenko back to Russia.

Pavlyuchenko has been out of favour at White Hart Lane and fears losing his place in Guus Hiddink's World Cup squad without regular football, with Roma and Zenit St Petersburg among the other clubs linked with 27-year-old.

"We need a good striker," said Spartak coach Valery Karpin. "It's a bit too much. If the price was Ł10million we would seriously consider it."

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp also has Jermain Defoe, Robbie Keane and Peter Crouch competing for places in attack, with Pavlyuchenko down in the pecking order.

If Pavlyuchenko does depart, Real Madrid's Ruud van Nistelrooy was among the targets Redknapp looked at over the summer who is still available, as Klaas Jan Huntelaar has moved to AC Milan.

Brazilian side Internacional claim to have rejected a Ł14million offer from Spurs for midfielder Sandro, who is valued at more than double that amount by his club.

Meanwhile, full-back Pascal Chimbonda is in talks with Blackburn about a move to Ewood Park, while Olympiacos have been linked with a move to take Mexico forward Giovani dos Santos on loan.

Arsenal

What they need Arsčne Wenger has admitted that he is in the market for defensive cover and a defensive midfielder, as are, he says, "half the managers in the Premier League". Injuries exposed the thinness of his defensive resources at the end of last season. He cannot allow the same thing to happen again.

Possible targets Wenger has not ruled out a move for Patrick Vieira, despite the possibility seeming outlandish all along, and he has an interest in St Etienne's young midfielder Blaise Matuidi, although he denies that a move is afoot. He also likes the Fulham centre-half Brede Hangeland but he is reluctant to pay upwards of Ł10m. A late move for the Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh should not be discounted.

Likelihood of buying: 6/10 As usual, Wenger will only move if he feels the price is right; he is quite happy with the composition of his squad as it is. It would be a surprise if he does not sign a defender, although that possibility may depend on whether they can sell Philippe Senderos. DH

In: Thomas Vermaelen (Ajax, Ł10m), Damián Martínez (Independiente, Ł1.2m)

Out: Emmanuel Adebayor (Manchester City, Ł25m), Kolo Touré (Manchester City, Ł14m), Abu Ogogo (Dagenham & Redbridge, free), Rene Steer (Oldham Athletic, free), Amaury Bischoff (released), Rui Fonte (released), Paul Rodgers (released), James Dunne (released), Vincent van den Berg (released), Anton Blackwood (released), Havard Nordtveit (Nuremberg, loan), Jay Emmanuel-Thomas (Blackpool, loan)

West Ham United chief Gianluca Nani showed his commitment to the club during this week's Carling Cup victory over Millwall.

The Daily Mail says among the more bizarre sights at Upton Park during the hooligan horror Carling Cup game on Tuesday was West Ham's Italian sporting director Nani rising to his feet - to much bemusement around the directors' box - when the home fans sang: 'Stand up if you hate Millwall.'

Sven Goran Eriksson has been forced to admit defeat after failing to tempt Czech midfielder Pavel Nedved out of retirement.

Notts County’s director of football had hoped to follow up his swoops for Kasper Schmeichel and Sol Campbell by taking the 2003 European Footballer of the Year to Meadow Lane.

Nedved, 36, won the Italian title with Lazio under Eriksson 10 years ago and was later
chosen to be Zinedine Zidane’s replacement at Juventus, after the France midfielder
completed his world-record move to Real Madrid.

Carlton Cole: 'I heard the chants. I might be as strong as a gorilla but I'm not a monkey'

'I know I'm not a monkey. I might be as strong as a gorilla but I'm not a monkey. That's life, isn't it?'

Those were the words of West Ham and England striker Carlton Cole after he admitted he suffered racist abuse in his home ground, Upton Park, on Tuesday night.

'Yeah, I heard it,' he said, 'but it's football, you know. I don't care. You've just got to carry on and get on with it and we got the result - that was the main point.'

Would have been insane if Nedved ended up at Notts County.

And those racist chants are sick, although you come to expect them in a game like last night. It's sad to see though.

Decision to stay at AC Milan saves Beckham’s World Cup dream

England boss Fabio Capello has confirmed Beckham would have been axed from his squad if he had returned to LA Galaxy this month.

Instead, Beckham sacrificed two million pounds of his personal fortune to help broker an extended loan spell with Milan and so is in line to pick up his 109th and 110th caps for his country in the clashes with Slovakia and Ukraine at Wembley, The Sun reports.

Capello revealed: “At this moment it’s important for him to play in Europe. America is not the same level as Europe.”

Beckham would have switched top-level Serie A football for pre-season training with Galaxy, further eroding his hopes of making it to South Africa 2010.

Capello added: “You know my decision — always I put in the squad the players that play. And that’s the reason why Beckham will be in the squad. I have watched on TV the last few games that David has played and he played very well. So I am happy, though it was not my decision. I was not involved. It’s a decision by Beckham and between LA and Milan.”

How Capello uses Beckham, though, is a different matter with Theo Walcott, Aaron Lennon and Shaun Wright-Phillips competing for the wide right role.

Beckham wants to play until he turns 50

London: Ace English midfielder David Beckham has blown away all talk of international retirement by declaring that he wants to play until he turns 50.

Former England skipper Beckham is expected to win his 109th cap in the friendly against Slovakia at Wembley, breaking Bobby Moore’s record for an outfield player.

“I’d love to go to the World Cup and be involved in every squad that gets picked up to that time. I don’t think I’d ever retire.”

Beckham, chasing goalkeeper Peter Shilton’s 125-cap record, has been rejuvenated since his loan move to AC Milan from US outfit LA Galaxy.

The Sun quoted him as saying even if England wins the World Cup next year; he would not call it a day.

“Even if I’m not picked in a particular squad, I always want to be available while I’m still playing,” Beckham said.

When it was put to Beckham that he could not play on until he was 50, he said: “You never know. I don’t want people wondering why I’m still playing. But I’d like that option to still be be involved in a squad one day and, if that happens when I’m 45, I’d take it.”

“I’m passionate about playing for my country. I’ve still got that work-rate there, I’ve shown that with Milan and have played in every game so far,” he added.

Rio Ferdinand is backing Michael Owen to be a great success at Manchester United.

"He has been hammered yet he has not even played a full 90 minutes," Ferdinand told MUTV.

"People have said he was finished and was not worth the risk, yet he scored with probably his hardest chance of the season.

"But I think that goal on Saturday will catapult him towards scoring a few more."

Anytime after Saturday is fine by me.
