Yes, they just did not care in the end and Andrew Moss was disappointed with the Rhys affair storyline too, he never hid his thoughts on that in interviews.

I find it hilarious that some Brendan fans want Mercedes to pay the consequences for her actions after the things he has done, hypocritical but she is no angel like he is and they do not pretend to be.

I like both characters though, very entertaining and complex.

Apparently Brendan is meant to be more sympathetic. I think sometimes people just let their dislike of a character cloud their judgement regardless.

I understand with his whole father abusing him, but Mercy was taken hostage by Silas and that ****ed her up, plus losing Malcey ****ed her up. I feel worse for her

Cheryl is inconsistent when it comes to Brendan though and when their Dad comes in it will play a bigger part because she thinks her dad can do no wrong and will be unaware that he sexually abused Brendan.

That is true. I love her character overall and she has the makings to be a classic Hollyoaks character as long as the writers keep giving Bronagh good storylines for Cheryl, although I sadly see her wanting to move on at some point to do other acting roles, but she loves being in the show currently and is best friends with Kieron Richardson who plays Ste.

This is what I have been saying all along. I like his character as a whole but hate him in this boring love triangle storyline.

Brendan/Emmett will be missed when they go next year, although the show moves on and I hope they have the next villain sorted!
