If Newcastle aren't careful they'll be relegated.

Villa aren't playing at their best at the moment and it took everything for Newcastle to score one goal against them.

They might be lucky that Brighton are poor defensively though.

This was a home match they should have won Mock.

Oh it was definitely 2 points dropped for Newcastle, and a pretty decent point for Villa imo considering they were away from home.

And no offence to Newcastle fans or fellow Villa detractors, but Newcastle couldn't hammer us at the moment.

Looking at the fixtures, it is not looking good for Newcastle and their current form is terrible. They desperately need their key players back.

Brighton are joint 10th on goals allowed while Newcastle is joint 16th at the moment.

Currently worst defensively are West Bromwich, then Southampton, then Crystal Palace, then Leeds.

I don't think they are poor defensively, they are OK/fine at atm., their offensive capability however is horrible at the moment and they draw games way too often.

The lack of goalscoring from Brighton probably explains why I'm seeing their defending as poor because any goals they concede is condemning them to a defeat.

That sounds more like a problem for the attacking than defense.

And also an issue with tactics and strategy of defending too much at the cost of more offensive play.
