Son is off to Bournemouth for a meeting today and suggested a threw a sicky and accompanied him.

Now what a choice lying on the beach soaking up the sun, followed by a leisurely lunch a bit more sunbathing and possibly a quck drink in the pub before meeting son for journey home

OR

Go to work.

Now much as the first was very tempted (AND I was tempted) I decided that that particular pleasure had to be put off for a while cos an afternoon sitting behind a barrister in Court beckons. What an exciting life I lead.

Consequently, not only do I have to leaf out for the Amontillado, I also have to keep my hip flask full.
