Liz Rosenberg leaves Warner, stays with Madonna

Liz Rosenberg, longtime publicity exec at Warner Bros. Records, is ankling to form her own praisery, Liz Rosenberg Media, the label announced Tuesday.

During the course of her 39-year career at the company, Rosenberg was closely associated with Madonna. The superstar vocalist – originally signed in 1983 to Warner’s distributed imprint Sire, and later head of her own imprint Maverick – exited the Burbank-based label last year for a 360-degree deal with Live Nation.

As part of an ongoing consultancy with the firm, Rosenberg will continue to rep Madonna, as well as current Warner acts Michael Buble, Cher, Stevie Nicks, David Foster, Charice and Katherine Jenkins.

Warner Bros. Records chief executive officer Tom Whalley said in a statement, “Over the course of her remarkable tenure, Liz Rosenberg’s contribution to the company has been immeasurable. We are delighted that as she begins her own enterprise, we will continue our association with her on behalf of several of our key artists.”

Leona – who has been dating electrician Lou Al-Chamaa for five years – also hinted she may be tempted to follow in Madonna’s footsteps and release an explicit tome, after taking inspiration from the 51-year-old singer’s famous Sex book.

She said: “I have always loved Madonna. I was too young for her Sex book period, but then when I saw it I thought, ‘Wow!’ Good for her, if that’s how she wanted to express herself. Would I express myself like that? Well, you never know…”

While she admires Madonna, Leona says there’s one celebrity who has been very rude to her in the past but she refused to name them.

The supermodel – who won the Outstanding Contribution at this week’s Elle Style Awards – admires the ‘Material Girl’ singer’s fashion sense and her ability to reinvent herself time after time.

She said: “I think my style icons are people that reinvent themselves – they come back with a different look, a different vibe, a different sound and Madonna is definitely one of those people.

“It’s just amazing to watch her through all these decades-she just keeps coming back.”

Madonna 'gets record deal for Jesus Luz'

Madonna has reportedly secured a record deal for her model boyfriend Jesus Luz.

Luz has allegedly been signed by Madonna's former label Warner and will release his first single 'We Came From Light' in May.

"Madonna was determined to give Jesus all the help she can," a source told The Sun. "She holds a lot of sway at Warner, where she had a deal until very recently. But getting him on the books wasn't completely plain-sailing.

"There was a little give and take between her and execs, but a compromise was eventually settled upon."

Luz reportedly secured a two-single deal, with Warner getting first refusal on an album.

Madonna is said to have covered all of Luz's recording expenses and put him in touch with 'Frozen' remixer Victor Calderone.

"Madonna really wants Jesus's career to take off," the sourse added.

"She's been going through her Filofax and putting him in contact with as many of her influential pals as she can.

"She's worked with Victor for a very long time and he understands just what she likes. Having him rejig Jesus's tracks will give them a cool cachet which is essential to building a clubland buzz."

According to the report, Madonna has also recorded her vocals on a track, which could feature as a B-Side or on a remix.

Madonna has had a "huge row" with boyfriend Jesus Luz, reports claim.

The Mirror reports that the singer was overheard at a party in London, which she turned up to alone, talking about her problems with the 23-year-old.

"Everyone kept asking Madonna where Jesus was. In the end she confided they'd had a huge row the previous day," a source said. "He is due to be in Portugal for some DJ gigs, so she went to the Soho House party on her own and left him to pack his stuff and cool off."

The insider added: "She seemed to want to really let her hair down. She was drinking vintage Dom Perignon champagne, but switching it with mineral water.

"Then when the DJ played a string of her hits, she hit the floor. It was only when Elton did the rounds and asked how she was she stopped dancing."

The pair have had an on-off relationship for the last few months

Mr. Munro, who has directed a couple of videos with Madonna, said his dream was to move into the direction of feature films and he credited Madonna as “an inspiration. ”

The Give It To Me singer, who left the London for New York following her split with UK director Guy Ritchie is said to be returning to the capital for six months whilst she films new movie W.E.

A source has stated: “Madonna has rediscovered her interest in Britain. She's going to be filming her new movie about Wallis Simpson in London so it made sense for her to move back.”

The Queen of Pop will move back with her four children – Lourdes, Rocco, Mercy and David.

Ex-husband Ritchie is allegedly very happy about Madge’s decision to move back to London.

The source continued to The Sun: Guy is hoping the move will be permanent for his sake with the kids. He is desperate to get the kids over here and be able to see them more often. Rocco is so excited about it."

The 51-year old recently said that one of the reasons she quit Britain was because she couldn’t stand her nickname Madge.

She claimed: “That's one of the reasons I left England - so I don't have to hear the word 'Madge' any more. Some people say 'Madge' is a colloquialism for a boring middle-aged housewife. And other people say it's short for Majesty."

Madonna is fixing for daughter Lourdes to make it in the movie business by giving her a role in her new film.

Madge starts shooting the flick about Edward VIII in London this summer and a source said: “She’s arranged a small role for Lourdes.”

“It’s not a significant part but it will give her a good taste of life in the movie business.”

“Lourdes has made it clear she wants some kind of career in the entertainment industry and her mum is more than happy to help.”

“She’s already an incredible dancer, thanks to years of classes and she’s also been having singing training.”
