I agree season 1 is better than season 2, It's getting too samey. Season 2 was looking great, then after episode 4 nothing too exciting has happened at all.

Brendan can easily be replaced. Characters come and go in Hollyoaks, that is the nature of soaps.

It's probably because I'm used to hearing his Northern accent and find the 'posh boy' a bit jarring. It seems it's the only accent Brits ever do on US shows.

I think you are confusing Mitzeee with Mercedes in the last sentence, you are right that they are both stubborn and never like to admit they are wrong.

It seems like they've completely forgotten how Mitzeee started though. Apart from the cousin angle with Riley, her whole link to the Costellos was forgotten about.

The writers seem to have the memories of goldfish sometimes. Bryan Kirkwood has a knowledge of the show and I hope he will be working with them to improve the consistency in storylines and to remember certain information.

I think Walker could be back for Brendan's exit, maybe he either tries to kill him and is unsuccesful and then arrested, which leads to Brendan deciding to flee the village for good.

Or Walker finally gets his revenge and kills Brendan but the police finally catch up with him after. Perhaps Silas could return to kill Brendan?
