but its a massive risk, even if your really lucky and join an academy at a young age the chances are you won't make, Seles's parents spent all their money sending her to america and to academy and even she almost didn't make it because they told her that she had to stop using her double handed forehand, she said only one of her friends there made it pro so the odds are stacked against you from an early age, its not really a sport where at 18 you can say " oh i want to do that "

Plenty of talented people around probably capable of making it pro but the financial baking is key. I don't think any sport you can decide to take it up at the age of 18.. Maybe low key ones but the big earners you'll have to start at a young age.

Once you are at the stage of turning pro and start playing these games though then you've hit a gold mine

depends what tournaments your playing in, the future and challenger events will get you hardly anything which is what most players play in, unless your in the main drews regular and your consistent it can be a very financially damaging game
