Ok that's with +1 apparently it got 3.09 with a peak of 3.69.
Its still a good rating and has retained the viewers which is good to see ![]() 1.1 million stayed for BOTS which is a fantastic rating. A 15% share is brilliant and when you look at what shares Channel 5 have been getting since CBB ended in the summer Viacom are going to be very happy. Wonder what live feed got? 3.27m/16.3% tuned into the launch of #CelebrityBigBrother, making C5 the second most watched channel between 9 and 11pm.

Very decent ratings! It came 2nd in its slot only beaten by Silent Witness on BBC1. It apparently peaked in the middle of the show at 3.9m.
And for Dan, as you asked, nope, it didn't go below 3m without +1. It was 3.09m, and then with 178,000 on +1. |

Thought I'd post this in case anyone else was confused with all the numbers.
Channel 5's latest series opened with an average audience of 3.09m (15.4%) at 9pm, with a further 178,000 (1.4%) tuning in on +1. Bit on the Side entertained 968k (11.0%) at 11pm. 3.09m (15.4%) on C5 + 178,000 (1.4%) on C5+1 = 3.26m (16.8%) Bit On The Side got 968K (11.0%) It is just shy of last Januarys launch of 3.18m (exc. +1) however is well up on the 2.24m from the previous summer launch (exc. +1) At the same time BBC One - Silent Witness - 6.42m (27.6%) BBC Two - Supercars Vs. Used Cars - 1.82m (7.8%) C4 - 24 Hours in A&E - 1.72m (7.4%) Imo, a 15% share for CBB (exc. +1) is excellent, it has near doubled both Channel 4 and BBC Two, and I suspect BBC One took a small dent. An 11% share for BOTS is equally great at such a late time. I believe, as with the last january series, this is one of the series that will continue to grow in ratings as more and more drama or stories unfold! |

Tonight's competition...
BBC1- Death In Paradise BBC2- The Super Rich and Us ITV- Bring Back Borstal CH4- Britain's Fattest People DiP was getting in the range of the 7m last series, so that is one to look out for, however I don't know if it would clash with the CBB audience. Bring Back Borstal is one I am worried about. It's a new (can we say "reality" show) where a group of 14 young guys, some who have criminal records go back to 1930s living. So it's kind of like that bootcamp show for trouble teens they had a few years back on ITV which was successful |

[QUOTE=*mazedsalv**;7458482]Tonight's competition...
BBC1- Death In Paradise BBC2- The Super Rich and Us ITV- Bring Back Borstal CH4- Britain's Fattest People I have a feeling it'll suffer a little blip tonight, as per, repeat of the launch never rates highly, and DIP gets close to 6 or 7m +, BBC2's programming could fair well, as yesterdays Necker Island doc got a 12% share, which is good! ITV.. it's fair to say, is hardly competition nowadays, meanwhile C4's show could be good or bad.. it really depends on the night I find with their programming.. I predict it'll be at 2.4m but hits 3rd in it's slot, beating ITV and C4. However, these programmes cater to very different audiences compared with CBB so let's hope the fact it's not a repeat of the previous night, put people off! |

Viacom haven't seen that many 1m ratings since they took over the channel so this is spectacular for them. Bye to the disdain for it I suspect.

Just had some ratings information through from the press team.
-In terms of share, last night's launch as the second highest ever on Channel 5, behind the first series in August 2011 - While on air, C5 was the second most popular channel behind BBC 1 - Across the day, C5 claimed 7.1% of all viewers. As such it was their highest day since March 2012. Additionally, the share of 16-34's hit 10.9% which has not been beaten since May 2010 ALL VIEWERS: 3.3. Million/16.3% share - +210% on vs slot 16-34's: 29.9% share - +399% vs slot.
