Yeah. But we dont know if it is just one man. Could be two, or even a gang. Even if there is DNA found on the clothes, there could still be more people involved undiscovered yet. But hopefully if there is DNA, the person it belongs too will reveal all | |||

But also, earlier they interviewed a man who works with people like prostitutes and he said he hadn't seen two people for over a week now. Could these be new victims? Although nothing else about these missing girls has been released so Im guessing it could be nothing.

Yeah, but again. They called water the 'destroyer of evidence' which means it could have destroyed any traces of DNA off the clothing. Hopefully not though.

There was a leather jacket in the river, Im guessing this makes it more obvious that it's theirs. Also they found a handbag.

The press are loving this awful situation. They are salivating at the prospect of more suffering.

Just heard on the news that they found a handbag with a toothbrush, toothpaste and a pair of knickers in it. That sounds like something a working girl would have.

Salivating means drooling... and, in this case, means that they are getting all excited about having a big story and forgetting about the hurt and suffering involved.

Of course the families will be suffering, I'm not denying that - but the press shouldn't be walking on eggshells for it.

I agree Lauren. I was explaining the term to Sophii. She asked what it meant.

a reporter admitted she was so excited at being near where the latest 2 bodies were found and it was only later when she had time to think about the seriousness of it all and the families she got emotional

I wouldn't like to be a newsreader because I would find it difficult to detach myself from certain stories (eg. where children are involved), but it's the only way to report news, even if it does seem rather cold-hearted. I don't tune into the news to find out how the newsreader feels... I tune in to find out the facts. And, if I was related to any of the victims, I doubt I would be watching any news on TV, or reading any newspapers to be honest anyway.

Exactly, we shouldn't have a half-news story. They should give us the full facts so we can make our own minds up about things. I wanna be a forensic psychologist when I'm older so cases like this intrigue me, and so I want all the details (That sounds sick, but yeah)

On one hand, she's a reporter, and this is a brilliant thing career-wise. On the other hand, she's a woman, and this is an awful situation. It's a double-edged sword.
