I think "early" May is an exaggeration.
I really can't see it launching before or the week of the Election, which is on 7th May.

Late May Launch would be great. Reminiscent of the C4 days.
It would work really well if they did it like this:

BB16 Launch = Thursday 21st May.
BB16 Final = Friday 31st July.
Duration = 72 Days.

CBB16 Launch = Thursday 13 August
CBB15 Final = Friday 11 September
Duration = 30 Days.

This is why, I should work for Channel 5.
This ensures a long two week break in between the civilian and celebrity series. Much better than the 2-3 days, we've been getting since 2012.
Although, why they continue with summer CBB, is beyond me. If they're that desperate for BB to be on our screens for longer during the summer. Why not just extend the civilian series to 13 weeks?
Saves money, and time, TBH, whilst ensuring BB will on TV longer.

I think it'll launch the 21st as well, and finish maybe early August that's about 11/12 weeks so you've also got a longer series, then CBB can launch around the 21st carrying on through September

21st May would be ideal.

I would love if they scrapped the summer CBB, and just had a 13 week civilian series, instead.

Duration = 93 Days (Like BB7).

I would like a May launch. Then I think after the series ends there should be at least a few weeks break until the celeb series. I think the winner should get talked about more and go on shows like the Wright Stuff because if the celeb one starts straight after no one will give a **** about anyone from the civilian series. I would love to see a civilian make some sort of media career. Someone who is good at talking/funny! x

BBSpy now also claiming this. Based on their article the civillian series would start first full week of May, 6 weeks from now, so the build up would start in as soon as 2 weeks.

I genuinely think Mid-May is the best way to go.

Why not Thursday 21st May, lasting till End of July.
Then a two week break for CBB in between.

Going by the BBSpy article and what Willbrick1999 is saying I think we may have a schedule like:

BB16 Launch = Tuesday 5 May OR Wednesday 6 May
BB16 Final = Friday 17 July
Duration = 73/74 Days

Would have said Thursday 7 May lasting 72 days (same as BB15) but that night will be dominated by the election results, I doubt Channel 5 will launch that night so BB16 could be a day or two longer than BB15.

BREAK = 26 Days

CBB16 Launch = Wednesday 12 August
CBB16 Final = Friday 11 September

Not keen on the extremely early May start.
I think launching the week of the elections will dent ratings.

I'd prefer a Mid-May launch, instead.

It's the "Early-May" certainty of BBSpy thats making me 99% sure BB16 will launch before the 11th May, because to me Early = (1st-10th), Mid = (11th-20th) and Late = (21st-30th/31st).

We should get the eye any time now, because last year we got the eye late April/early May and this year its launching a month early so late March/early April

Last year, we got the eye on May 9th with launch on June 5th. If the series is launching late May - we should get the eye at the end of April.
