Not at all, I found her really boring, same thing every week with the hands and Matt twirling around her, Ryan is better because he is more likely to fall and Brian has bounced his partner off the ice twice now

Yeah, but like her or not Gemma was bringing in people to watch every week just wanting to see what she'd to next. I guarantee there'll be people who have no interest anymore in watching someone who played cricket and Leanne from Corrie performing each week.

She wasn't good though, and deserved to go, but I wouldn't have moaned if she stayed - she was entertaining!

Yep the ratings were higher this series and thats due to all the publicity and Gemma is the one thats giving the show that and Gemma is all what people talked about

You're talking short term success, her appearance on the show will do long term damage just like how Katie Waissel was a contributing factor as to why series 8 of TXF rated significantly lower, or why Nikki Grahame stopped most of the British public from ever voting on Big Brother ever again.

They brought loads of viewers with them short term, but they all did long term damage to their respective franchises.

You'll be surprised at how many people wouldn't have tuned into the show due to Gemma being on the show.

Most people don't want to watch TOWIE contestants.

Yeah people might have tuned out, but not many did. My great aunt for example vowed she'd never watch again after like week 3, and still tuned in each week after saying Gemma ruined it.

Besides, you're forgetting Gemma isn't just a TOWIE star. She's made a name for herself in other ways - and the amount of people tuning out now will be much higher than the amount tuning out because of her appearance.

It may appear to be not as high, but factor in those who are tuning back in as they did stop watching as well.

DOI didn't have great ratings last year anyway, and were much better this year. Katie and Nikki as you mentioned had their respective controversies during the peak of the shows. DOI had its peak before it was axed.

seen some of his performances back on yt but how dull and boring can he be

More tuned in to see Gemma than tuned out because of her, ratings are up so there is no question she brought in viewers.

Also I find it really sad people are having a pop at her still. She was very gracious at being voted off, her haters could probably learn a bit from her attitude last night.

She could've easily had another rant, or kicked off, or refused to skate off, or anything but she took it like a professional, did her best and accepted the result. I don't get why people are still bitter over her. She was never gonna win and neither were anyone who left so far so what's wrong with her staying a few extra weeks over people who were going to leave anyway

We'll see how the show does cope long term I suppose.

I have nothing personal against Gemma, I just don't like watching fake TOWIE routines, they don't entertain me personally, but I wish her the best of luck in the future.

But the occupation of the celebrity has nothing to do with whether or not they're good or not, or 'fake'

Kem and Wes both come from Love Island known for being full of wannabe reality types, yet are among the more talented of their series?

I'm no Kem or Wes fan, but they're at least taking part in the series trying to do decent performances every week, Gemma just did joke act Diva routines every week with no effort to try and get better, they're not comparable imo.
