I love the Wild Area, it's probably my favourite part of the game so far. The only thing I dislike about it is that you don't have any way to change the weather. so if you want a specific pokemon (I JUST EANT A MIMKYU, GODAMNIT!) you have to wait for certain weather conditions.

I've just caught a Impidimp and levelled it up to the same level as my other pokemon through the EXP candy. I think it's gonna replace my Corvisquire since my Gallade can learn Aerial Ace and I've not had any real need of a flying type at the moment. I think I'll keep Corvisquire until after I've done the Fighting gym and then Morgrem's taking it's place.

I've also ditched Gossifleur for a Flapple, it's been a good decision so far, it hits like a truck and it's way faster than Gossi was.

I imagine Ponyta becomes really powerful once it evolves due to it's typing, you can't really go wrong with Psychic/Fairy although if you have a Hattern, you've got that typing sorted already. Once I find a few Farfetch'd, I'll probably see if I can get a trade going with someone for a Ponyta, I do love a good Psychic/Fairy type.

It gains the fairy typing when it evolves. I'm not sure how it evolves in Sword though since it evolved through a fire stone before.

Yeah just levelling up to 40 on shield, I love him, I might still level up Hattern and see which one is better stats wise yet

I assume it's one of the forest areas since it was revealed in one.

I'm pretty sure anything can appear as a Max Raid pokemon though so you might be able to get one quite early from one of those.

Hatterene seems quite defensive but she still packs a punch for me. I imagine Rapidash will have good attacks but not great defense.

Oh, Saph. Apparently if you change the time and date on your switch, you'll change the weather in the wild area so eventually you'll find the correct weather for Corsola to appear. I haven't tried it myself but that's what I've heard. Might test it out for myself tomorrow and see if I can find a Mimikyu.

Oh, she's an utter twat.

I found Gigantamax Butterfree but none of the others yet, I've seen footage of some of the Gigantamax battles though and I'm probably not at a level in which I can succeed in them.

I've just done the fourth gym and I'm in the mystical looking wood now. I wasn't a huge fan of the fighting gym, it felt a bit lazy in comparison to the other gyms and the town itself is really ugly in comparison to the other places in the game.

I've also got myself a Sirfetch'd which was a pain in the arse to evolve but it seems quite good. I'm sticking with my Gallade but Sirfetch'd has got the perfect Nature so I'm gonna train it for Battle Tower when I complete the game.

It's the same for the fighting gym, I liked that part but I didn't like how the gym leader's main pokemon was a Machamp instead of a Galar pokemon. Plus, unlike the other gym leaders so far, you just don't interact with her at all.

I encountered a three star Ditto in a raid and kickstarted my poke brothel- I mean, my pokemon breeding career. I've got a crap tton of Scorbunnies now to trade for and I've bred a few Eevees (Currently got Espeon, Leafeon and Sylveon).

It took AGES but I found a Sinistea in the tangle forest too, it's nature is **** so I'm gonna end up breeding it a little but for now I'm gonna get back to the story I think.

Yes but it has an extremely low encounter rate, It took me quite a long while to find one.

I've done the sixth gym, a rock type gym in a winter-y town like that didn't fit at all but I liked the gym as a whole a lot more then I did with the fire gym. I don't think the exclusive gym thing has really worked out though, every town in this game reflects it's gym leader. Milo's town is a farm town, Nessa's is a harbour town, Opal's is a mystical town in the forest etc but I can't imagine the ghost leader fits the town he's in and the rock type gym leader didn't really reflect his town either. It's a cool idea but if it comes back in future, they need to pick types that have more similar aesthetics so the gyms fit into the towns better.

I'd have made the fourth gym Fighting/Ground and the sixth gym Ghost/Ice.

I have to say as well, I love what they've done with the towns in this game, pretty much all but one of the towns I've seen so far has been pretty as ****.
