I cant say I fully understand this voting system, but my home town in scotland just elected 2 cons out of 3 elected candidates..the 3rd is a lib dem..funnily, there wasnt even an snp candidate to vote for.

Interesting to see greens on track to pick up more councillors than labour, so maybe progressives and climate realists aren't quite as bad as feared once folks get tired of being fed BS.

If Starmer is forced to resign, they will have the opportunity to go further right by continuing to try and woo tories with wes streeting, or maybe to self correct with solutions and policies rather than attacking the left constantly.

What I want to know is, if he again comes away from an investigation without a fine, will the Tories apologise for pressuring a police department to investigate a political opponent for something that was already found to not be unlawful?

Similar to how the Met were pressured into investigating Downing Street and issuing fines over cake even though their stated policy was not to issue fines retrospectively

Starmer said Boris should resign even before the fine, just over being investigated
