Duncan Baker, who's a parliamentary private secretary in Michael Gove's department - Levelling Up, Housing and Communities - has now resigned his post.

In a statement on Facebook, the MP for North Norfolk said the recent byelection results were more than "mid-term blues".

"The breakdown in trust from the last six months is abundantly clear. The latest situation to unfold regarding Chris Pincher only compounds those feelings, with many now recognising the situation is clearly unsustainable."

"I must remain true to my values and principles," he said.

it's funny how they have all discovered values and principles over night. More like they don't want to be associated with a sinking ship

Safeguarding Minister Rachel Maclean has become the latest minister to resign.

The Redditch MP says Boris Johnson must go "for the good of the country and our party".

In her resignation letter, she says recent events demonstrate that while he remains in office the "woefully low rate of prosecutions for sexual offences" will not improve.

A cheeky MP in the Committee

Asked Johnson, did Gove see him?

Johnson reminded him what the Committee is for

We've seen a lot of Conservative MPs share their letters of no confidence in the prime minister on Twitter - but the timing of Huw Merriman's stands out.

Merriman's letter was posted on Twitter while he was grilling Boris Johnson at the Liaison Committee.

It is not clear if Merriman sent the tweet or if someone else sent it on his behalf.

Chair of the Business Committee Darren Jones puts it to Johnson there are reports that a delegation of ministers are preparing to tell him to leave office.

He says, in the middle of the Liaison Committee session, that a group of cabinet ministers are "in Downing Street including the chief whip, transport secretary and your new chancellor waiting to tell you when you finish here today that it's time for you to go".

Boris Johnson says he will not give a running commentary on things he isn't aware of.

Before the Committee ended
they wanted to know will he call a General Election
if he loses support of his MP's

Johnson would not talk about it.
